The Research and Development Department now has four centers,
namely:
CPA Research Center
Focused on research related to the design, development and teaching of continuing education courses for Certified Public Accountants. Priorities are given to research on Chinese and foreign auditing standards, theories of modern risk-oriented auditing, cases of ineffective auditing, financial analysis of listed corporations, etc. In cooperation with the Marketing Department and Academic Affairs Department, the CPA Center works at planning curriculum and developing new courses and teaching materials for the CPA training. It also offers distant guidance for the CPA examination through Internet, which is supported by the Distance Education Department.
CFO Research Center
A research base aimed at studying and developing Chinese CFOs capacity and designing related professional training courses. Focused on research related to the design, development and teaching of continuing education courses for senior financial managers in large and medium sized enterprises. Priorities are given to research on functions of Chinese CFOs, CFOs and value creation, CFOs and financial policies, financial management, relationships between CFOs and corporations' internal elements, international financial management, etc. The CFO Research Center also serves as a consulting body which provides the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA), the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, and other government departments with comparative analysis or suggestions concerning the systems or standards of accounting.
Financial Research Center
Focused on research related to the design, development and teaching of continuing education courses for senior managers in Chinese financial institutions. Priorities are given to research on quantitative descriptions of the features of capital markets, the modeling of investment analysis, dynamic asset allocation based on option theory, financing for small and medium sized enterprises, etc.
Industrial Economics and Business
Administration Center
Focused on the frontier research related to the design, development and teaching of continuing education courses for senior managers in Chinese enterprises. The Center aims to achieve a leading position in the national academic research in areas of organizational behavior, customer relationship management (CRM), corporate governance, IT technology management and international business, etc., and promote the development and innovation of the related training courses.
