The forum on financial management innovation for public hospitals during reform period , jointly sponsored by the financial department of National health and family planning commission(NHFPC) and Shanghai National Accounting Institute  was successfully held on August 19 at SNAI, attracting about 70 participants from the NHFPC system. The forum invited nationally-renowned scholars and experts as well as hospital management experts to explore the hot issues as well as obstacles and challenges faced at the stage of health reform in China. Discussions mainly focused on the challenges to address financial management or hospital during health reform; financial management innovation for public hospitals during health reform; the establishment of competency framework for hospital financial and accounting staff during health reform. This forum was also one of the course modules for the NHFPC program for leading accountant talents. Li kouqing, president of SNAI and Liu kui, deputy director general of NHFPC were present at the opening and gave welcome remarks.  IMA provided academic assistance and support to this forum
