Dr.Li Kouqing attends the seminar on CAREC long-term strategy 

Dr. Li Kouqing, the president of SNAI was invited to attend the seminar on CAREC long-term strategy to provide advices and suggestions for CAREC long-term development strategy. The seminar was held at the Beijing office of ADB on June 6, moderated by Mr. Ayumi Konishi, the director general of East Asia department of ADB. 

SNAI students achieved success in 2017 National English Competition for College Students

The results of the 2017 National English Competition for College Students(NECCS) were revealed recently. SNAI graduate students have achieved great success with 1 first prize, 6 second prizes and 11 third prizes. The graduate students’ office was awarded the NECCS excellent organizer. Professor Xu xianguang was awarded the distinguished mentor. Mr.Liu rongguang was awarded the excellent individual organizer.

The thesis defense for the first cohort of international MPAcc was held successfully 

The thesis defense for the first cohort of international MPAcc was held on May 28.The professors from many renowned universities and academic institutions in Shanghai as well as SNAI faculty formed three thesis defense committees to review the results of their two-year graduate study.  

SNAI International students visited Beijing to field study 

With the support of the Ministry of Finance, PRC, the delegation of SNAI international students led by Mr. Yi Hongxun, the SNAI president assistant went to Beijing for the field study. The students had discussions and dialogue with officials and experts at the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, People’s Bank of China, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Beijing offices of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank as well as China Communications Construction. The international students are part of the Master of Professional Accounting Program, which aims to train young officials from developing countries. 

The 2017 seminar on tax administration and taxpayer service for African countries held at SNAI 

The 2017 seminar on tax administration and taxpayer service for African countries sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and co-organized by the State Administration of Taxation and SNAI was held recently to better serve the Belt and Road strategy and help to improve the tax collection capacity of developing and low-income countries. All together 54 tax officials from Cameron, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan participated in this workshop.   

SNAI joined the 2017 KDI webinar  

The AFDI representatives joined the distance learning workshops organized by the KDI School of Public Policy and Management on June 8 and June 15. The two workshops discussed the Chinese development experiences on the innovation of service-oriented government as well as digital government experience.  

SNAI graduate students awarded 2017 CMA scholarship 

Ten SNAI graduate students have received the 2017 CMA scholarship awarded by IMA. This scholarship aims to encourage elite colleague students to be involved into the management accounting field. The scholarship winners must be academically excellent and have leadership potentials. It is the first time for SNAI students to win this award. 

The participants of LATP special support program organize the western outreach activities ——opportunities for Chongqing city under the Belt and Road initiative

The LATP western outreach event co-organized by the SNAI, Chongqing municipal financial bureau, China Accounting News was held on June 16-17 for the participants from the LATP special support program. 9 LATP participants gave presentations on hot topics such as overseas strategy, investment and financing, financial management, innovation and business startups. Discussions were also centered around the opportunities for Chongqing under the Belt and Road Initiatives. Professor Li Kouqing, SNAI president, Professor Yue caishen, vice president of Southwest Politics and Law University as well as Mr. Zhang Liang, deputy director general of Chongqing financial bureau gave keynote speeches. Mr.Chen Qinghua, editor in chief of China Accounting News and Mr.Li qi, the director of accounting division of Chongqing financial bureau also attended this event. 

The academic paper of SNAI faculty published on Public Finance Research 

The paper on the applied research of Basic Guidelines of Management Accounting in enterprise, co-authored by SNAI faculty Associate Professor Tong chengshen and Professor Li kouqing was published on the 5th issue of Public Finance Research in 2017. This paper used questionnaires to explore and analyze the four elements of management accounting from the perspective of enterprises. 

The 2nd Academician Talk was held at SNAI 

The 2nd Academician Talk themed on the technology and development of weapons was held at SNAI on June 18.Mr. Wang Xingzhi, the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, distinguished expert on guidance technology was invited to give a lecture on weapons knowledge and national defense. Academician Wang has long been involved in the research and development of special aircraft. He used to be the general designer of important projects of antitank missile systems 

The EMPAcc study trip to Britain completed 

The 25 students of the 17th cohort of EMPAcc program co-organized by SNAI and the Chinese University of Hong Kong successfully completed their study trip to Britain. They learned the trends of international accounting and accounting principles by attending the trainings on corporate internal control , risk prevention, hedging foreign exchange risk organized by Kaplan and BPP as well as joining the discussions with ACCA and IASB. 

Signing ceremony for strategic cooperation of talents training between SNAI and Qingpu District held 

The signing ceremony for strategic cooperation of talents training between SNAI and Qingpu District was held on June 29, moderated by Mr.Jiang renhui, the head of the organization department of Qingpu district. Dr.Li kouqing, the president of SNAI and Mr.Xia kejia, the direct governor signed the strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of the two sides. The agreement aims to support the development of Qingpu district with the intellectual support of SNAI.

The graduation ceremony of 2017 graduate students held 

The graduation ceremony of 2017 graduate students was held on June 28. Dr. Li kouqing, the president of SNAI attended the ceremony and gave remarks. The vice presidents, the president assistant of SNAI as well as the faculty representatives were present at the ceremony. 300 students of class of 2017 graduated from SNAI. They also organized a graduation party to express their gratitude for the institute.
