SNAI signs strategic cooperation agreement with Kingdee Software

Recently, SNAI signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kingdee Software to carry out in-depth cooperation in intelligent finance research, joint cultivation of talents, and exchange of market events. The move is aimed to push forward the education and training for high-level financial talents and application and promotion of intelligent financial management in enterprises. President Li Kouqing, Vice President Liu Qin and President of Kingdee Software (China) Sun Yanfei attended the signing ceremony.

SNAI/AFDI holds a training workshop on "Public Financial Management Reform and FMIS: Experience of China"

The first bilateral training workshop on "Public Financial Management Reform and FMIS: Experience of China" between SNAI/AFDI and the Economics and Finance Institute of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia in 2018 was held recently. 27 officials at the Director General level from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Education and other government agencies of Cambodia participated in the training.

SNAI holds a symposium for National LATP Special Support Program participants

On May 24, the 4th symposium for the participants of the Special Support Program of the National Leading Accounting Talents Program was held at SNAI. President Li Kouqing and Director Cui Huaqing of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance attended the symposium and delivered talks on the methods of training, requirements of research and administrative regulations.

SNAI Accounting Information Survey Center releases an investigation report on integrity construction in accounting professionals

SNAI Accounting Information Survey Center, based on a recent survey conducted to collect netizens' opinions and evaluation regarding the creation of a culture of integrity in accounting professionals, released a report on this issue. The report provided feedbacks and basis for analysis for policy-makers and proposed methods and countermeasures for building a culture of integrity among accounting professionals.

SNAI/AFDI holds a thematic lecture on Asian Development Outlook 2018

On May 28, Juzhong Zhuang, Deputy Chief Economist and Deputy Director-General of Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department of the Asian Development Bank paid a visit to SNAI and gave a thematic lecture on Asian Development Outlook 2018 to the National Leading Accounting Talents Program participants and the international graduate students of SNAI/AFDI. Mr Zhuang shared his viewpoints on the economic outlook of the Asia-Pacific region in 2018 as well as their research findings on how technology might affect jobs during the lecture.

Vice Minister of the Ministry of Finance Cheng Lihua pays a field visit to SNAI

On June 1, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Finance Cheng Lihua pays a field visit to SNAI. She first visited some venues and facilities for teaching on the campus, then she held a talk with the senior management team and heads of departments of SNAI on the theme of “accelerating the construction of an internationally renowned accounting institute”.

SNAI holds senior professional and technical positions qualification review panel meeting

On June 4th, the 2018 annual senior professional and technical positions qualification review panel meeting was held at SNAI. After listening to the presentation and defense from the seven applicants and considering their work performance, scientific research achievements and annual appraisal results as well as the evaluation opinions of the external experts, the disciplinary panel which is composed of 9 full professors voted and determined that five applicants met the qualifications of full professor and 2 applicants of associate professor.

Full-time Chinese graduates get good results in National College English Contest 2018

The organizing committee of the National College English Contest recently announced the award-winning list of the Contest in 2018. A total of 19 full-time graduate students won prizes in this competition, including 1 first prize, 7 second prizes and 11 third prizes. The graduate department also won the  Outstanding Organization Award for the 2018 Contest.

SNAI holds the thesis defense for the international candidates of MPAcc 2018

Recently, SNAI held the master's degree thesis defense for the international candidates of MPAcc from developing countries in 2018. The defense committees, composed of experts, scholars and faculty from Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, East China Normal University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, examined the study and thesis results of the students.

SNAI holds the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee Meeting and Academic Committee Meeting for the first half of 2018

On June 14, the SNAI Academic Degree Evaluation Committee Meeting and the Academic Committee Meeting were held back on back at SNAI. The SNAI Academic Degree Evaluation Committee Meeting was chaired by Prof. Li Kouqing and motions regarding degree conferment were deliberated and voted by committee members. The Academic Committee Meeting was chaired by Prof. Xia Dawei and motions on deepening the reform of graduate education were deliberated and voted by committee members.

International Students of Grade 2016 went to Beijing for field visit

On June 12-14, with the support from the Ministry of Finance, Grade 2016 International Students went to Beijing for a series of field visits. The students visited the Ministry of Finance, the People's Bank of China, Red Cross Society of China, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Academy for International Business Officials of the Ministry of Commerce. Discussions and exchanges centering on the theme of learning Chinese experience to promote common prosperity and development were held during the field visits.

SNAI Publication: "Accounting Infrastructure: a Booster to the Belt and Road Initiative"

Recently, the book on "Accounting Infrastructure: a Booster to the Belt and Road Initiative" jointly edited by SNAI, ACCA and Deloitte was published. The book examined systematically the connotations of accounting infrastructure, coordination of accounting standards along the Belt and Road, tax risk identification and counter measures, and international accounting talents cultivation from multiple perspectives.

SNAI/AFDI attends the first distance learning session of KDI's blended training 2018

The first session of the blended training of the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management was held recently. The session was held by videoconferencing on the topic of "decentralization and balanced development: Korea's experience". A total of 117 participants from 10 countries, including some faculty members of SNAI, attended the session.

SNAI, Shenzhen Institute of Certified Public Accountants signs cooperation agreement on online continuing education and regulations database construction

On June 11, a delegation led by Yang Rusheng, the President of the 6th Board of Directors of the Shenzhen Institute of Certified Public Accountants, paid a visit to SNAI. Yi Hongxun, Assistant President of the SNAI, met with the visiting guests. The two organizations signed a cooperation agreement on jointly pushing forward the network-based continuing education and the construction of a regulations database. They will also deepen the cooperation in the areas of online courses and the website of accounting view (www.esnai.com).

SNAI holds the "Impressions of Leading Accounting Talents" Series of Lectures

Recently, SNAI held a series of lectures by renowned lecturers for the National Leading Accounting Talents Program (LATP) participants who are studying at SNAI presently. Professor Wang Haisu, director of the Enterprise Value Research Center of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, was invited to share the pathways and optimization of independent innovation by Chinese enterprises. Mr. Tian Feng, senior director of Alibaba Cloud Research Center, was invited to give a talk about the application of cloud intelligence in enterprises.

SNAI holds the 4th Academician Lecture

Recently, SNAI held its fourth Academician Lecture, with the theme of "China's Aerospace and the Space Spirit." Qi Faren, Academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering who is also an expert on space technology, served as the main speaker of the Lecture. The lecture aims to give SNAI students an opportunity to learn both the approaches to scholarship and life philosophies from top experts.

SNAI holds the graduation and degree awarding ceremony to 2018 Chinese graduates

On June 20th, the 2018 graduation and degree awarding ceremony for Chinese graduate students was held at SNAI. President Li Kouqing attended the ceremony and delivered a speech to all the graduates. Vice President Liu Qin, Assistant President Yi Hongxun and other faculty was also present at the ceremony. A total of 141 graduates from the graduating class of 2018 attended the ceremony.

GDLN Global Board Chair Glenn Withers visits SNAI/AFDI

On June 19, the newly-appointed Chair of the Global Board for the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) Prof. Glenn Withers visited SNAI/AFDI. President Li Kouqing met with him and held in-depth exchanges on resource sharing, sustainable development of GDLN and the implementation of GDLN projects at SNAI/AFDI.

2018 National Accounting Institutes' Senior Professional & Technical Positions Qualification Review Committee Meeting held at SNAI

On June 29, the 2018 National Accounting Institutes' Senior Professional & Technical Positions Qualification Review Committee Meeting was held at SNAI. Jia Rong'e, Director General of the Department of Personnel and Education of the Ministry of Finance, Liang Gongping, Director of Cadres Education Division of MOF and other members of the Committee attended the meeting. Applicants for senior professional and technical titles from the three National Accounting Institutes were introduced at the meeting, then the Committee members discussed and reviewed the applicants in terms of their level of scholarship, work performance and innovation capacity.

SNAI holds the Graduation Ceremony for 2018 MPAcc Program for Developing Countries

On June 28, SNAI held the Graduation Ceremony for the graduating class of 2018 MPAcc Program for Developing Countries. Jia Rong'e, Director General of the Department of Personnel and Education of the Ministry of Finance, Li Kouqing, President of SNAI, and Li Zhen, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce attended the ceremony and delivered remarks respectively. The graduating class of 2018 of the Program has 25 graduates in total. They are from nine countries including Ethiopia, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Cambodia, Laos, Malawi, Myanmar, South Sudan and Tonga.

SNAI holds the Forum on Digital Connectivity in the Belt and Road

On June 25, SNAI in cooperation with the Accounting Society of China, ACCA, Deloitte China, Inspur Group and YonYou held the high-level Forum on Digital Connectivity in the Belt and Road. About 600 guests and participants from 17 countries gathered at SNAI to discuss the approaches to boost the development of accounting infrastructure and digital connectivity in the Belt and Road countries. Shu Huihao, Deputy Director General of the Accounting Department of Ministry of Finance attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

The International Financial Management Talents Program for China Communications Construction Company Limited officially launched

To achieve the strategic vision of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) to build itself into a world-class enterprise with global competitiveness, and to satisfy the demand for international financial management talents, after rounds of strict selection, the CCCC International Financial Management Talents Program was officially launched recently. The program will be conducted by SNAI in cooperation with ACCA. A strategic cooperation agreement on the developing international talents has been signed among the three sides.

President Li Kouqing attends ACCA Global Summit on Connecting the Next Era

On June 22, the ACCA Global Summit on Connecting the Next Era was held in Beijing. President Li Kouqing was invited to attend the summit and served as the chair of a session on "connecting China and the world: opportunities for the Belt and Road infrastructure and reshaping global value chain." He shared his insights with the guests on several issues, including the opportunities and challenges for Chinese companies' involvement in overseas infrastructure projects, the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), during the summit.

SNAI, Yuanian Technology signs strategic cooperation agreement

Recently, SNAI and Yuanian Technology Limited signed a strategic cooperation agreement to conduct all-round cooperation in research and talent development. The two organizations will launch a Smart Finance Research Center in cooperation with several other organizations to further strengthen their capacity in management accounting information technology and management consultancy. Liu Qin, Vice President of SNAI and Han Xiangdong, President of Yuanian Technology signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
