2018 Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation(SHIPDET) held at SNAI

The 2018 SHIPDET, cosponsored by the Independent Evaluation Group of Asian Development  Bank and SNAI has been held at SNAI recently. The course instructors introduced the process and development of China’s efforts to push forward performance budgeting management from the perspectives of evaluation theories, tools. About 50 participants from 12 economies such as Afghanistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal, Cambodia, Lao, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and ADB joined the training.

The third and fourth China-Vietnam finance officials capacity building program held in Vietnam 

The third and fourth China-Vietnam finance officials capacity building program, cosponsored by the IFT of Vietnam and SNAI have been held in Vietnam recently, focusing on financial policy support to small business houses and small enterprises as well as financial policy for special economic zones respectively. The experts introduced China’s recent fiscal and tax reform as well as experiences and achievements in fostering the development of SME development and special economic zones in recent years. Mr. Lu Wenbin, SNAI vice president attended the opening ceremony and gave remarks. About 150 participants from the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank, tax administration as well as universities of Vietnam attended this seminar.

SNAI logistics department awarded with the title of Shanghai Worker Pioneer

The first CIIE was held during November 5-10 in Shanghai. According to the decisions of the preparatory committee and requirement of the Shanghai municipal government, the workers and volunteers from all walks of life went great length to work against the strictest standard to accomplish the construction, operation, logistics and service work related to CIIE. During the CIIE, SNAI logistics department worked in shifts around the clock and successfully accomplished all the service work required by the CIIE. As a result, it has been awarded with the title of Shanghai Worker Pioneer recently 

SNAI international students succeed in the 2018 Simulation Game Competition 

The finals of 2018 International Simulation Game Competition, cosponsored by the CESIM and Shanghai University was held in Shanghai on December 1^st.The competition aimed to improve the education quality of the international talents and to deepen the understanding of international students to China’s policy, economy and culture. 14 teams from the universities nationwide entered the finals. The 3 teams from SNAI managed to place 1^st and 2^nd runner- up respectively.

SNAI organizes the mobilization meeting for 2019 China MPAcc student case competition

The mobilization meeting for 2019 China MPAcc student case competition was held at SNAI on November 30. Professor Chen Yanli from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics was invited as a keynote speaker to give a presentation. The meeting aimed to further improve the graduate students’ abilities to discover, analyze and solve the actual problems of the businesses and enhance SNAI’s reputation in this MPAcc student case competition.

The 11th seminar on Goldratt China partnership program held

The 11^th seminar on Goldratt partnership program, cosponsored by Goldratt Consulting Ltd and SNAI has been held at SNAI recently. This seminar focused on throughput accounting, shedding lights on theoretical framework and best practices of corporate performance evaluation. About 180 participants more than 100 enterprises nationwide joined this seminar.

SNAI delegation led by SNAI President Li kouqing visits the ASU for graduate program cooperation

The SNAI delegation led by president Li Kouqing went to U.S during December 3-8. The delegation visited the executive office, independent evaluation group of the World Bank as well as GEF to discuss the cooperation in capacity building. The delegation also visited the Arizona State University to have discussion on how to improve the quality of the SNAI-ASU EMBA program as well as the potential collaboration in SNAI master degree program (big data and accounting track).

SNAI organizes the first executive forum on intelligent finance

The first executive forum on intelligent finance, cosponsored by SNAI, China National Petroleum Corporation, Kingdee Corpration and Yuanian was held at SNAI on December 8. The participants discussed topics around intelligent finance including its theory, application and innovation. This event also witnessed the inaugural launch of SNAI Intelligent Finance Research center. This center will focus on the theory system of intelligent finance, the sharing platform, core technology tracking as well as the information service synergy.

China-Cambodia PPP training program held in Shenzhen

The China-Cambodia PPP training program, cosponsored by SNAI, CPPPC and EFI was held in Shenzhen on December 3-7. The 28 officials at director level from Ministry of Economy and Finance, Cambodia attended this training. The Chinese experts shared with the participants the Chinese experiences, the problems encountered and future trend in policy system, fiscal management, law issues of China’s PPP projects.  

SNAI staff join the GDLN training in Korea

Invited by the KDI school of public policy and management of Korean, two SNAI staff joined the GDLN face-to-face training in Korean during December 3-8.

This training covered the topics of local governance and regional development. All together 36 participants from 12 countries including China, Thailand, Indonesia attended this training, which helps to contribute to the SNAI’s policy of constantly promoting international and quality development.

SNAI delegation led by President Li Kouqing visits ADB

The SNAI delegation led by  President Li Kouqing visited the headquarter of ADB in Manila during December 11-15. The delegation had a series of meetings and discussions with many departments including EARD, IED, SDCC, Office of President in order to reach consensus on expanding the scope of cooperation in research and capacity building cooperation framework of areas such as development evaluation, SNAI international students education.

SNAI and Nantong Tax Service of State Tax Administration jointly launch the field study site

SNAI and Nantong Tax Service of State Tax Administration jointly launched the field study site at Nantong on December 19, which participated by the 31 international students of 2018. After the launch ceremony, the international students were organized to visit the Dasheng Group, Luolai home textile, Nantong museum, China abacus museum to study China’s national and modern textile industry development, Chinese culture. The field study trip aimed to make the international students gain deeper understanding of China’s development in many areas after 40 years’ reform and opening-up.

SNAI faculty and students join 2018 blood donation activity

SNAI youth league and volunteer team organized the 2018 blood donation activity on December 16 to promote the loving and caring spirit. The activity was widely participated by SNAI full-time graduate students, which fully reflected their dedication to social service and the sense of responsibility.

SNAI organizes the alumni seminar on big data and auditing innovation

Mr. Jin ke, the innovative leader in auditing and verification at Deloitte has been invited by SNAI recently to give a presentation on auditing innovation in the age of big data. Discussions were held on a variety of topics such as how to establish the analysis platform for financial data and how to help the financial personnel to construct the platform for corporate information releasing, early warning and decision making.

Meetings were organized at SNAI on December 24 to study, understand the important messages addressed at the Central Economic Work Conference. The SNAI party committee was determined to ensure that the guiding ideologies align to President Xi’s important speeches as well as the Party’s underlying political policies for economic work next year.

SNAI receives award of model institution for fire prevention in Qingpu district for 2018

on December 11, the Qingpu district government organized the conference among the institutions with key fire prevention duty to commend those with zero fire accident for this year. SNAI was highly praised for its efforts to ensure zero fire accident in 2018 and was also awarded the model institution for fire prevention in Qingpu district for 2018.

SNAI organizes the forum on third-party intermediary for performance evaluation

SNAI organized the forum on third-party intermediary for performance management on December 21. The theme of the forum was performance evaluation reporting: internal control and quality. It aims to foster the development and growth of the third-party intermediaries for performance evaluation and provide recommendation and advices to improve budget performance management. Dr. Lu Wenbin was present at the meeting. About 30 participants from about 20 intermediaries such as Shanghai accounting firms, Shanghai Lixin Appraisal Co., Ltd, etc attended this forum..

SNAI organizes the training on “guidelines for six additional special deductions for individual income tax and tax declaration

SNAI organized the training on guidelines for six additional special deductions for individual income tax and tax declaration on December 29 to help staff get familiar with the newly-revised regulations and measures about the individual income tax for planning reasonable tax saving. The training provided insights into the important policy documents such as Interim Measures for Additional Special Deductions for Individual Income Tax as well as Regulations for Implementation of the Law of the PRC on Individual Income Tax.

SNAI organizes the 2018 student meeting

SNAI organized the year-end student meeting on December 27. The representatives of Chinese students, international students as well as staff from different departments attended this meeting where students gave their feedbacks and suggestions in the areas of accommodation, meals, wireless network, etc. The heads of different departments will work on service solution to improve campus life for students after collecting the suggestions at the meeting. 

SNAI organizes the winter break mobilization meeting for full-time graduate students

SNAI organized the winter break mobilization meeting for full-time graduate students on December 23. The 2017 and 2018 students as well as faculties attended the meeting. The audience was briefed on the situation about the students applying to join Communist Party, the mid-term review of class of 2017, the job hunting of the graduating class as well as thesis writing progress. It aims to mentally prepare the students for future planning in studying and job hunting.
