Opening ceremony of the 2019 summer school on big data and accounting for postgraduates held at SNAI
The opening ceremony of 2019 summer school on big data and accounting for postgraduates has been recently held at SNAI. Shu jinlong, director of Shanghai degree office, Lu wenbin, SNAI Vice President attended the opening ceremony and gave welcome remarks. The 96 postgraduates who joined the summer school attended this ceremony. There have been all kinds of summer schools organized in Shanghai since 2006. With the support of the local universities and institutes such as SNAI, about 30 summer school programs, funded by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission are offered to the postgraduates from all over the country every year, which serves to build an experience sharing platform for peer learning among postgraduates from different universities.

SNAI was awarded the title of Shanghai Municipal Model Organization for the year of 2017-2018 on August 1. It marks the 8th successful securing of this honor since it was awarded this title for the first time in 2003-2004.
SNAI to become a long-term partner of volunteer service for Expo after agreement signed between SNAI and the government of Xujing town
SNAI attended the promotion event for 100-day countdown of the second Expo organized by Xujing town on July 29. This event aims to rally for making full preparation for this big event. SNAI is committed to shoulder its social responsibility and take part in the joint development of this district. The long-term strategic cooperation agreement on providing volunteer service for the Expo was signed between SNAI and Xujing town. On behalf of the SNAI, Yi hongxun, SNAI Assistant President signed the agreement. SNAI Red Seed volunteer team will continue to provide volunteer service in terms of traffic guidance, language translation, first aid service for the upcoming second Expo.
Executive forum on innovation leading development held at SNAI
Ms. Jiang Peizhen, board chairman of Golden Throat Holdings Group Company was invited to give a presentation on innovation leading development at the second executive forum of SNAI. About 450 participants including those from the Leading Accounting Talents Program of Jiangsu Province (third and forth cohort), SNAI alumni and some executives of the Golden Throat Holdings Group Company attended this forum. The forum was moderated by Yi Hongxun, SNAI Assistant President.

Cooperation between SNAI and ACCA to provide advanced training program for national leading accounting talents
In order to promote the internationalization of national leading accounting talents training, SNAI and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) officially launched the advanced training program for the national leading accounting practitioners (BP Program). The program is based on the ACCA professional qualification strategy system. It aims to cultivate high-level accounting elites of state-owned enterprises with international vision, support the sustainable development of China's accounting industry, and play positive role in the process of “going out” of state-owned enterprises and the implementation of the national “Belt and Road” initiative.
SNAI joins the webinar of Korea Development Institute
The 5th webinar, sponsored by the School of Public Policy and Management of Korea Development Institute (KDI School) has been held recently through video conferencing. The webinar focuses on Korea Public Sector Performance Management System: Interpretation from the level of government agencies”. Prof. Nowook Park from KDI shared with the participants the institutional structures and the specific evaluation methods and models of the performance management in the Korean public sector. In addition to some SNAI faculties, more than 160 participants from 11 countries around the world participated in the webinar.

SNAI chorus participated in a theme song singing activity organized by Qingpu District of Shanghai to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on August 3rd. Led by SNAI President Li Kouqing, SNAI chorus is composed of SNAI faculty, staff representatives and alumni. The singing of the "My Motherland" and "Seeing off Red Army", helps to passed on the spirits of the patriotism and remain true to our original aspiration.
Waste sorting progresses smoothly at SNAI
The "Regulations on the Management of Domestic Waste in Shanghai" has been officially implemented for one month. Recently, Yi Hongxun, Assistant President led a team to conduct an inspection of waste sorting at SNAI, focusing on the disposal and treatment of the garbage and waste in the administrative buildings and the dormitory for graduate students. SNAI will continue to strengthen waste sorting efforts on campus and increase the coverage and frequency of the inspection for problems that occur during this inspection to ensure long-term operation of waste sorting.

SNAI Party committee makes full preparation to fight against typhoon Lizema
Li Kouqing, SNAI Party Secretary and Yi Hongxun, Party Committee member led all Party members and cadres to work together during August 9-11 to fight against the typhoon “Lizema” the 9th typhoon of this year, minimizing the impact of disaster and ensuring normal teaching and living order. In the fight against typhoon, the leadership team did not fear the danger and work on the frontline. The Party members and cadres worked during the weekend to fight against typhoon. SNAI spirit and the dedication sprit are fully reflected in the process of the disaster relief.

The opening ceremony of the senior seminar on finance for An Steel Group was held at SNAI on August 12th.The 15 young executives and 30 financial talents will take 20 days of systematic training, which aims to help them become highly competent management talents with international vision. The expert advisory committee meeting for think tank development joint with the 2019 think tank project review meeting was successfully held on August 12. This meeting introduced the mid-term inspection of the 2018 think tank projects and the application progress of the think tank projects in 2019. The participating experts reviewed the application items such as the research topic, research ideas and research methods. In the meantime, the meeting further clarified the direction of the think tank development through the in-depth discussions on economic and social hot issues, which will enhance the competitiveness of the SNAI think tank.
2019 full-time graduate students arrive on campus
The 125 full-time graduate students of 2019 arrived on campus on August 11. The one-week orientation program for the newly admitted students would soon kick off, including ideals and beliefs, scientific ethics, safety education and entrance test and so on, helping students to start their graduate study smoothly.
Cooperation agreement signed between SNAI and China Securities Museum
SNAI and the China Securities Museum has recently reached a strategic cooperation agreement. Li Kouqing, SNAI President and Jin Xing, Deputy Director of the museum signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the construction of on-site teaching bases in the future. SNAI will better serve the development of China's securities market by training more highly competent financial professionals.
SNAI releases a salary report for the accounting practitioners in 2018
In order to understand the overall level of salary in the accounting industry, explore the trend of changes in the salary of financial professionals, help the accounting practitioners to measure their own salary level against the external market, and improve their competitive advantage, the Accounting Information Center of SNAI, together with the Esnai website and ACCA launched a survey on the salary of accounting personnel. The survey results show that the average salary of financial personnel in 2018 is 123,529 RMB, and the average salary is 1.52% lower than the 2017 survey data. Factors such as education, gender, and job title all have an important impact on income.

In accordance with the unified deployment of the Ministry of Finance, SNAI earnestly studied and implemented the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on poverty alleviation and conscientiously implemented the new requirements of the Ministry of Finance on poverty alleviation. SNAI and the People's Government of Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, which is a MOF designated place of poverty alleviation jointly launched the 2019 training workshop for the finance officials of Pingjiang county on August 20th. Based on SNAI’s strengths on education and training, SNIA has been actively participating in the fight against poverty to help the poor and to adhere to our aspiration of benefiting the people, improving the people's livelihood, and practicing the "heart for the people" with practical actions.

Thee opening ceremony of the 2019 graduate students of SNAI was successfully held on August 17. Professor Li Kouqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and SNAI President, Professor Lu Wenbin, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, representatives of the faculties,125 full-time graduate students as well as 43 part-time graduate students of 2019 attended the ceremony.
SNAI Party Committee organizes the study session of the history of the Party and New China
SNAI invited the Yan Aiyun, Deputy Director of the Party History Research Office of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, to give a presentation on the history of the Party for all the faculty and staff on August 20 in accordance with the “Notice on Seriously Studying the History of the Party and the History of New China” issued by the leadership team of the Ministry of Finance. The presentation guides all party members and cadres to study and understand the history of the party and the history of the new China as an important way to keep in mind the Party's initial aspiration and mission.
Participants of SNAI open course on finance sharing visit financial shared service center(FSSC) of Hande and Fosun for field study
SNAI open course on financial sharing continues to improve the learning effect by increasing field study activities. After the theoretical course, more than 60 financial professionals from AVIC, Bank of China, Zhejiang Jiaogong, China Water Resources and Hydropower, Shenergy Group, Lu zhou Laojiao and China Pacific Insurance were arranged to visit the FSSC of Hande and Fosun during August 19-21 to learn advanced experience in the application of financial information technology and human resources development.

Three research projects of SNAI approved for project initiation as the 2019 Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project.
After review by experts and the leadership group of Shanghai Philosophical and Social Science Planning, 282 general research projects of Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Planning and 159 youth research projects have been proposed for project initiation recently. Three SNAI research projects has approved for project initiation, of which two are youth projects and one is general project. This is the first time that three SNAI research projects has been approved for project initiation, which marks the highest number of projects recorded so far.

The opening ceremony of 2019 training workshop for chief accountants (CFO) of CHN Energy was successfully held at SNAI on August 26. The Joint training for the National Leading Accounting Talent Special Support Program was successfully held at SNAI. More than 20 students from the 3rd cohort and 4th cohort of the Special Support Program participated in the training. According to the training plan, they have completed the mid-term and final defense of the research projects during the training period. The training workshop on Public Financial Management Reform and Financial Management Information System (FMIS): China Experience, jointly sponsored by SNAI and the Economic and Financial Institute of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia was held in Beijing. Mr. Pich Sambath, Deputy Secretary of State for the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Professor Peng Runzhong attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The 28 government officials from 16 central departments including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Audit Office and the National Election Commission attended the training.

The graduation ceremony of EMPAcc 18th cohort joint with the opening ceremony of the EMPACC 20th cohort was successfully held at SNAI on August 24. Professor Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Professor Chen Jiale, Dean of the CUHK Business School, Professor Li Qingqi, Associate Dean of CUHK Business School, Professor Gu Chaoyang, Dean of the CUHK School of Accountancy, , Professor Yang Yong, Director of the EMPAcc Program, Professor Lu Wenbin, SNAI Vice President and other relevant faculties attended the ceremony. All together 69 graduates from EMPAcc 18th cohort and 92 freshmen from 20th cohort joined this event.

The strategic cooperation agreement was reached between SNAI and Shanghai i-Search Software Co., Ltd on August 27. Liu Qin, SNAI Vice President and Tang Qisong, founder and CEO of the company signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, both parties will cooperate extensively in the fields of talent training, teaching base development, intelligent financial research center and professional forum cooperation.
