Online seminar on accountinginfrastructure promoting the regional economic cooperation held

Theonline seminar on accounting infrastructure promoting the regional economic cooperation,jointly sponsored by SNAI, CAREC Institute, ACCA, Deloitte China was held onOctober 31,2020, attracting about 100 participants from dozens of countriessuch as the CAREC countries, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand.SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin, Liang Ziqian, Deputy Director of CAREC Instituteand Helen Brand, Chief Executive of ACCA joined the opening and gaveremarks. The seminar discussed two topics, which were economic recovery andregional economic cooperation in the post-pandemic era: challenges and outlookas well as the accounting infrastructure and regional economic cooperation:innovation and development.

First cohort of training for CICPA members held at SNAI

The first cohort of training for CICPA members has been recentlyheld at SNAI, attracting 35 people including newly recruited participants andrelevant staffers from SNAI and CICPA. Shu Huihao, General Secretary of and LiuQin, SNAI Vice President attended the opening and gave remarks. The opening washosted by Liang Liqun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China’s CPAindustry. 

Trainingworkshop for finance personnel of National Coal Mine Safety Administration heldsuccessfully 

The training workshop for finance staff of National Coal Mine Safety Administrationwas held on November 2, 2020 at SNAI, attracting 130 finance staff working inthe coal mine safety supervision sector nationwide. Xiu Shaomin, DirectorGeneral of National Coal Mine Safety Administration as wellLiu Qin, SNAI Vice President attended the opening ceremony.

SNAI organizes meeting toannounce the new member of its leadership

SNAI organized the senior staff meeting on November10,2020, during which the personnel department of MOF announced the new memberof SNAI leadership via video link. Shan Renhui, deputy director general of thepersonnel department attended the meeting and gave remarks. DeputyDirector-General Shan announced the decision to appoint Bai Xiaohong as SNAIVice President and put forward the requirements for the newly appointed VicePresident.

Thegraduation ceremony of the second cohort and opening ceremony of the thirdcohort of Leading Accounting Talents Program of Wu Xi city was held at SNAI onNovember 7. Liu Qin, SNAI Vice President as well as senior officials from Wuximunicipal finance bureau and Wu Xi municipal Committee attended this event.

CFO certification program forShanghai Electric Program successfully concluded

The one-week CFO certificationprogram, jointly launched by SNAI and Shanghai Electric Group was concluded onNovember 6, 2020. The program was initiated to address the new demands in thedigital era. A total of 30 participants from the subsidiaries of the Group, whoare regarded as the potential future CFOs attended this training.

IMAScholarship Award ceremony 2020 held at SNAI

TheIMA scholarship Award Ceremony, sponsored by IMA was held at SNAI on November8, 2020. Due to the pandemic, this event was held at SNAI and via Zoomsimultaneously. Nine international students of 2019 class won the Best AcademicPerformance Awards as well as the Academic Progress Award. SNAI Vice PresidentLu Wenbin, IMA Vice President Richard Li and IMA senior manager Ms. Feng Yifanattended the ceremony.

Workshop on Internet plus, targetedpoverty alleviation and fiscal fund supervision held

Theworkshop on Internet plus, targeted poverty alleviation and fiscal fundsupervision, which are part of the 2020 professional talents training programof Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security was held on November 14,2020. A total of 60 participants from the targeted poverty alleviation countiesdesignated by MOF, such as Pingjiang County of Hunan province, Yongsheng Countyof Yunnan province and counties of Sichuan and Qinghai provinces attended thistraining. Based on the practices and experiences of the pilot work of Sichuanprovince, SNAI has been organizing the targeted training for grassrootsofficers working in the poor areas for five consecutive cohorts since 2018.

SNAIjoins the seminar organized by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce

SNAIVice President Bai Xiaohong, on behalf of the institute attended the seminar,jointly sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Commission ofCommerce and Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai.Vice Mayor of Shanghai Zong Ming, together with about 70 participants from severalmunicipal government agencies and relevant institutions attended the seminar.The seminar discussed the topic such as “go overseas” work under the B&Rinitiative, pandemic prevention measures and facilitation of investmentcooperation.

Second cohort of leading talentsprogram of assets appraisal industry completed

Theclosing ceremony of the second cohort of leading talents program of assetsappraisal industry was held at SNAI on November 16. SNAI Vice President BaiXiaohong and Yang Songtang, Deputy Secretary of China Appraisal Societyattended the ceremony and gave remarks. 52 participants were given the titlesof Leading Talents in Assets Appraisal Industry.

Special topic course on budgeting management integration of Jiangsuprovince held

Thespecial topic course on integration of budgeting management of Jiangsu provincewas held in Nanjing city on November 18, 2020. Sun Feng, director of budgetingdepartment of Jiangsu provincial finance department as well as the head of theSNAI training department attended the opening and gave remarks. A total of 110participants working in the fiscal and finance system of Jiangsu provinceattended the 3-day training, which covered topics such as the underlining ideaof budgeting management integration, accounting calculation, budget planningand the experience sharing from Hainan provincial finance department.

SNAI celebrates its20th anniversary and fourth Alumni Day

Thecelebration for SNAI’s 20^th anniversary and the fourth Alumni Day activitywere held on November 21, 2020. SNAI President Li Kouqing gave speech toexpress his sincere thanks for the support from all sides during the past 20years via video link. SNAI Vice President Liu Qin introduced to the audience theachievements made and SNAI’s development over these years. Many elite alumniwere invited back to give keynote speeches during the celebration event, whichwas hosted by SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin. A series of activities were heldon that day, such as the inaugural launch of Exhibition Hall of Integrity Culture,Creative Market, etc. The accounting department of the Ministry of Finance,Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Beijing National AccountingInstitute, Xiamen National Accounting Institute, Remin Business School, the CPAassociation of Zhejiang province all sent the congratulatory letters to SNAIfor this occasion.

The online workshop on financial management informationsystem——experience of China, jointly sponsored by SNAI and EFI of Cambodia washeld during November 16-18. In Em, director of EFI and the relevant staffer ofSNAI international training department attended the opening and gave remarks. Atotal of 60 government officials from the Ministry of Finance and Economy andother line departments of Cambodia attended the training. The experts from MOFshared the Chinese experience in financial system reform, local financialmanagement and FMIS practices.

The graduation activity for the LeadingAccounting Talents Program of Ningbo city (third cohort) has been recently heldat SNAI. The closing ceremony of the LeadingAccounting Talents Program of Jiangxi province (third cohort) was held at SNAIon November 20, 2020. A total of 44 participants of this program successfullycompleted the study. Chen Jiqiang, director general of Jiangxi provincialfinance department, Bai Xiaohong, SNAI Vice President and other seniorofficials from Jiangsu provincial government agencies attended the closingceremony and gave remarks.

2019international students organized to take a field study in Shanghai

12international students of 2019 class were arranged to take a “Reading China” fieldstudy to the electric power research institute of Shanghai Electric Power Groupand China Securities Museum on November 24, 2020. The international studentsabroad of 2019 class also joined this activity via video link.

Strategic cooperation agreement signed between SNAI andiflytek

Thestrategic cooperation agreement between SNAI and iflytek has been recentlysigned by Liu Qin, SNAI Vice President and Wu Xiaoru, rotating CEO of iflytek.The two sides are expected to have further collaboration in the areas oftalents training, field study site development, organizing professional forumand building intelligent financial research center.
