According to the current pandemic development, SNAIcontinues to require its staff to work from home. Special task force is set upto provide care and help to the graduate students. Onlinemeeting held between SNAI and the Asian Development Bank Institute

SNAIPresident Li Kouqing was invited to have an online meeting with TetsushiSonobe, dean and CEO of Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) on May 10. SNAIVice President Zhang Gexing, heads of the Department of Graduate Education ofSNAI, ADBI Deputy Dean Seungju Baek, ADBI senior researcher Yao Yixin and theheads of relevant SNAI departments joined the meeting. The two sides brieflyreviewed and highly affirmed the past achievements in jointly promotingregional financial capacity building and reached a preliminary consensus onfurther improving the cooperation mechanism, jointly promoting regionalcapacity building and knowledge sharing, strengthening cooperative research,and assisting regional financial talent training in the future.

SNAI offered an online course with the theme of"Embrace the 20th National Congress and forge ahead on a new journey"on May 5 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CommunistYouth League of China. SNAI graduate students attended the online lectureentitled Aspiration, Reading and Practice, given by SNAI President Li Kouqing.The lecture aims to encourage young students to take on the important task ofnational rejuvenation and national construction.

The online training for finance personnel ofSINOPEC Northwest China Petroleum Bureau was held via video link on May 2,attracting a total of 35 medium and senior level finance leaders of the Bureauand its subsidiaries.  The training isalso the first of its kind commissioned by the enterprise in 2022. SNAI organized an online forum (live broadcast) onfinancial management system construction and practice on May 7, which iscommitted to helping enterprises to strengthen financial management capacityand improve value creation ability. SNAI continued to operate at low capacity for Juneand all staff continue to work from home. All the departments should arrange areasonable number of staff to be on duty on campus to maintain the low-capacityoperation. Gradual recovery approach will be taken given the pandemic situationin the late June and July.

Professor Juzhong Zhuang, Guest Professor ofEconomics at Fanhai International School of Finance, Fudan University wasinvited to give a lecture on Asia’s Journey to Prosperity Policy, Market, andTechnology over the 50 years on May 20, which helps the international studentsto better understand the experience of the development achievements andeconomic success in Asia. SNAI President Li Kouqing attended this online eventand gave welcome remarks.

Training on High Quality Development ofPublic Hospitals launched successfully

The training on financial management andhigh-quality development of public hospitals was jointly launched by SNAI andNo 1 Hospital affiliated with the University of Science and Technology of China(Anhui Provincial Hospital) on May 20 via video link, attracting more than 120participants mainly deputy presidents, chief accountants as well as heads offinance department of hospitals nationwide. SNAI Party Secretary and President Li Kouqingappointed as the fifth Director of ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic ResearchOffice

 According to the decision made by the PartyCommittee of the Ministry of Finance on May 13, Dr. Li Kouqing, SNAI PartySecretary and president, was removed from his post.  He is appointed as the fifth Director ofASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office with the term from May 27, 2022 to May26, 2025. SNAI Vice President Liu qin presides over the overall operation ofSNAI temporarily according to the decision of the Ministers’ meeting.

SNAI launches OAO (online and offline) platform forpartner professional competency training

In order to better meet the requirements of theMinistry of Finance and the Chinese Institute of CPA with regard to theprofessional competency of partners of accounting firms, SNAI Vice PresidentBai Xiaohong has been taking the lead in promoting the construction of OAOplatform for professional competency training of partners. The design phase ofthe project started at the beginning of March. The development of the platformphase I was completed in late April. The platform has been successfullylaunched in May with five core back-stage management functions going online,which helps to achieve the integration of online and offline resourcesespecially for the professional competency training of accounting firmpartners.

The intensive training includes advanced coursessuch as behavioral finance, economic outlook in the age of the New-Normal,institutional reform and financial innovation, and financial investment. Throughsystematic and modular learning, students can understand the behavioral financeknowledge and M&A cases in reality, understand the investment against thebackground of the major cycle, and then optimize the income and prevent risks.At the same time, they can also understand the financial thematic knowledge ofthe current situation, such as the focus of national economic development,platform economic supervision, promoting green finance, and helping ecologicaldevelopment.

The 9-day online training, focusingon tax affairs, attracted a total of 56 participants. SNAI invited well-knownexperts and professors in the field to give lectures on interpretation offiscal and tax policies and tax system reform trends, strategic financialrules, crisis public relations and media response, capital operation and M&Atax issues, tax planning skills, comprehensive budget management, accountingchallenges and responses against the backdrop of the development of green and low-carboneconomy, the war between Russian and Ukraine and international order upheavalsand challenges, management ideas in traditional culture, etc,. The course aimsto develop the professional skills, international vision and leadershipqualities of leading talents from different dimensions.
