Asian Evaluation Week 2022 held

The Asian Evaluation Week 2022, themed ReframingEvaluation for Green, Inclusive and Resilient Recovery, was held via video linkon September 13. The event was cosponsored by the Ministry of Finance, PRC andAsian Development Bank, co-organized by the Asia-Pacific Finance andDevelopment Institute and Independent Evaluation Department of ADB, The Chinesevice finance minister Zhu Zhongming attended the opening ceremony and gaveremarks. He sent his congratulations to this event. Woochong Um, managingdirector of the Asian Development Bank and Emmanuel Jimenez, director of theIndependent Evaluation Bureau of the Asian Development Bank, also attended theopening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. The opening ceremony wasmoderated by Liu Qin, vice president of SNAI. The relevant officials of theMinistry of Finance, PRC as well as Zhang Gexing, vice president of SNAI,attended the opening ceremony in Beijing. The event attracted governmentofficials and evaluation practitioners from more than 90 countries and morethan 100 institutions around the world.

Commendation meeting for Teachers’ Day celebrationheld at SNAI

The commendation meeting for Teachers’Daycelebration was held at SNAI on September 9, 2022. SNAI vice president Liu Qinhosted the meeting and vice president Lu Wenbing announced the congratulatoryletter sent from the board of directors of the National Accounting Institutesof the Ministry of Finance. Honors and awards were awarded to outstanding staffat the meeting.

Special topic training on digital transformation ofSNAI based on OAO strategy held

The special topic training on digitaltransformation of SNAI based on OAO strategy was held at SNAI on September2.  Professor Mi Yong, dean of the Schoolof Continuing Education of Fudan University and chairman of the ShanghaiAssociation of Educational Technology, was invited to give a lecture on “knowyourself and know the future”. All SNAI faculty and staff attended the lecture.

Capacity building training for key financialpersonnel of Hualu Group and Shandong Development Investment Group successfullylaunched

The 2022 capacity building training for thekey financial personnel of Hualu Group and Shandong Development InvestmentGroup was successfully launched on September 4, attracting more than 50participants to attend this five-day training.  SNAI vice president Lu Wenbing and Sun Youmin,CFO of Hualu Group, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Theopening event was moderated by Zhao Xin, head of the finance department ofShandong Development and Investment Group.

Second cohort of the professional competencytraining for partners of accounting firms in 2022 held

The second cohort of the professional competencytraining for partners of accounting firms was held during August 21-30,attracting a total of 87 senior partners and managing partners to attend. SNAIvice president Bai Xiaohong and Zhao Yan, deputy director of the continuingeducation department of the China Association of Certified Public Accountants,attended the opening ceremony and gave remarks.

Seminar on financial securities and ruralrevitalization successfully held

The seminar on financial securities and ruralrevitalization, jointly organized by SNAI and Huajin Securities Co., Ltd., wassuccessfully held in Guizhou Province during August 31- September 2. DaiJunxia, member of the Party Committee of Huajin Securities and director of theRural Revitalization and Assistance Office as well as SNAI vice president ZhangGexing, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. A total of 80 localfinancial officials from the designated counties attended the training.

Fourth cohort of the leading accountingtalents program successfully held

The fourth cohort of the leading accountingtalents program (enterprise track) was held at SNAI on August 30.  SNAI vice president Zhang Gexing and JiangZhongliang, director general of Zhejiang provincial finance bureau, and YangShusheng, director of the accounting department of Zhejiang provincial financebureau, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. A total of 63participants jointed the training.

Online training workshop on Public-PrivatePartnership——Experience of China held

The training workshop on Public-PrivatePartnership——Experience of China, jointly organized bySNAI and the Economic and Financial Institute (EFI) of the Ministry of Financeand Economics of Cambodia, was successfully held via video link during August29-30. More than 50 provincial officials (deputy governor level) and financialofficials from 16 provinces of Cambodia attended the training. The Chineseexperts shared China's latest practices with the participants on thedevelopment of China's PPP model, tax policies supporting PPP development, PPPproject performance management and PPP project cases.

Course development team for online educationof SNAI awarded the title of Model Women in the Workplace

The course development team for onlineeducation of SNAI, consisting of four female staff, was awarded the title ofModel Women in the Workplace by the relevant municipal authorities.  The team was awarded the medal on September 5.SNAI vice president Baixiong attended the medal ceremony and had group photowith the team members.

SNAI faculty and students win the award ofthe fifth (2022) Shanghai Excellent Teaching Cases for Master of Financeprograms

The winners list of the fifth Shanghai ExcellentTeaching Cases for Master of Finance programs was announced on September 12,2022. Three papers co-authored by SNAI associate professor Ye Xiaojie, Dr. QiaoSijiao and their postgraduate students won the award.

The Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CommunistYouth League officially announced the list of projects approved for the 2022Shanghai Youth Work Project Research on September 2. After qualificationreview, anonymous review, 144 projects were finally approved. One SNAI projectentitled Research on the Development Status Quo, Existing Problems andCountermeasures of University Graduates in Shanghai against the backdrop of PandemicPrevention and Control, was successfully approved.

Zhang Feng appointed as the Secretary of the PartyCommittee of Shanghai National Accounting Institute by Party Leadership Groupof the Ministry of Finance

The video conference was organized by the Ministryof Finance on September 22 to announce the adjustment of the leadership team ofthe Shanghai National Accounting Institute. Peng Hua, director of thedepartment of personnel and education of the Ministry of Finance, attended themeeting and delivered a speech. All SNAI faculty and staff attended themeeting. The meeting was hosted by Ge Zhihao, deputy director of the departmentof personnel and education of the Ministry of Finance. Peng Hua announced thedecision of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Finance to appointZhang Feng as the Secretary of the Party Committee of SNAI (at the level ofDirector General). Liu Qin will no longer serve as the deputy secretary of theParty Committee, the secretary of the discipline inspection commission and the vicepresident of SNAI.

First Yangtze River Delta CEO and CFO Forumsuccessfully launched

The first Yangtze River Delta CEO and CFO Forum,jointly sponsored by SNAI and Zhangjian Entrepreneur College, was successfullylaunched in Nantong city, Jiangsu Province. The forum focused on the topic ofcapital market empowering high quality development of enterprises. Gao Daping,deputy director general of the accounting department of the Ministry ofFinance, Zhang Feng, secretary of the Party Committee of SNAI, Qiu Zhiqiang, deputydirector of the financial supervision and administration of Jiangsu Province,and Ling Yi, deputy mayor of Nantong city, attended the forum and deliveredspeeches respectively. The forum consists of keynote speeches and round-tablediscussions, attracting nearly 6500 participants to follow both online andoffline. The strategic cooperation agreement between SNAI and ZhangjianEntrepreneur College was signed on September 2 and this forum is one of the keyinstitutionalized collaborations stipulated in the agreement.

Commencement ceremony of SNAI master programsuccessfully held

The commencement ceremony of three cooperativemaster programs, namely the Master of Business Administration (EMBA program)for senior executives (finance track) collaborated between SNAI and ArizonaState University, the Master of Professional Accounting Program (EMPAccprogram) collaborated  between and theChinese University of Hong Kong, and the MiM program (data analysis track)collaborated between SNAI and Arizona State University, was successfullyheld  both online and offline onSeptember 24. A total of 164 students were conferred with master’ degrees.Zhang Feng, secretary of the Party Committee of SNAI, attended the ceremony anddelivered remarks. The event was moderated by SNAI vice president Lu Wenbin. ProfessorZhou Lin, dean of the Business School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong,and Professor Ohad Kadan, dean of the W.P. Carey School of Business of ArizonaState University, were invited to deliver remarks via video link.  Professor Dale Rogers at Arizona StateUniversity, and Liu Xiaochun, deputy dean of the Shanghai Finance Institute,were invited to give presentations respectively.

The training workshop for senior financialmanagement personnel of Fenxi Mining Industry (first cohort ) was launched onSeptember 25. Lu Wenbin, vice president of SNAI, Cui Zhiqiang, chief accountantof Fenxi Mining Group, and Qin Hu, deputy director of the finance department ofFenxi Mining Group, attended the opening ceremony and gave remarks. Liu Hongwei,deputy director of the finance department of Fenxi Mining Group, moderated theopening ceremony.

2022 Training program on administrativeaffairs for the United Front Work Department of CPC Shanghai MunicipalCommittee held at SNAI

The training program on administrativeaffairs for the United Front Work Department of CPC Shanghai MunicipalCommittee was held at SNAI on September 22. Fang Jiansen, deputy director of the Department,and Bai Xiaohong, vice president of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony anddelivered remarks. The United Front Work Department of the Shanghai MunicipalParty Committee organized a total of 62 participants working in this area participatedin the training.

Leading accounting talents training programof Jiaxin city (first cohort) held

The leading accounting talents trainingprogram of Jiaxin city (first cohort) was officially launched at SNAI onSeptember 19, 2022. Huang Yiliang, deputy director of Jiaxing finance bureau,and Zhang Gexing, vice president of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony anddelivered remarks. Li Wei, director of the accounting department of Jiaxingfinance bureau, moderated the opening event. A total of 55 participants fromthe administrative institutions, enterprises and accounting firms have been admittedto the program.

Second intensive training of the first cohort offuture leaders of BDO China successfully completed

The second intensive training of the first cohortof future leaders of BDO China was held during September 13-21, 2022. A totalof 57 participants from all over the country participated in the 9-daytraining.

Second and third cohort of seminars on China's tax systemand tax collection and management reform in 2022 successfully held

The second and third cohort of the China-Laosfinancial capacity building project—China's TaxSystem and Tax Collection and Management Reform seminar jointly organized bySNAI and the Finance and Accounting Institute of Ministry of Finance of Lao(AFA), were successfully held via video link during September 5-8, andSeptember 19-22 respectively.  More than90 participants from various departments of the Ministry of Finance of Laos as wellas the finance and tax departments at the provincial level participated in the onlineseminar.

Several papers authored by SNAI faculty win awards

The Ministry of Finance announced the list ofExcellent Working Paper and Research Report Awards on September 28, 2022. Atotal of 11 papers authored by SNAI faculty got the awards with two firstprize, three second prize and one third prize of the Excellent Working PaperAward as well as one third prize of the Excellent Research Report Award.
