Mr. Liu Qin is Professor of Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI). From August 2011 to September 2022, he was Vice President of SNAI.

Mr. Liu joined SNAI in 2000 at its inception. Before being appointed as Vice President of SNAI, he had been Director of Information Department, Director of Distance Education Department, and Assistant President of SNAI.

Prior to joining SNAI, he had worked at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) as Head of the Teaching and Research Section of the Information Department, Deputy Dean of the Information Department, and Director of Center for Educational Technologies at JUFE. 

Mr. Liu earned his professorship in computer science in 1997, and was awarded Pace-setter in Scientific Research among the institutions of higher learning in Jiangxi Province in 1998, and was regarded as a Pioneerin Academic Research by the Ministry of Finance in 1998.

He is a graduate of Southwest Jiaotong University with a M.Eng. in 1989 and Anhui Polytechnic University with a B.Eng. in 1983. From January to May 2007, he was a visiting scholar at W. P. Carey School of Business of Arizona State University.

Mr. Liu also holds some concurrent posts as Chairman of the Accounting Informationization Sub-Committee of the Accounting Society of China, Consultant of National Accounting Informationization Committee, Council Member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Council Member of China Institute of Internal Audit.
