On Febuary 6th 2018, President of SNAI Kouqing Li, accompanied by the staff of International Student Office paid visits to the international students who stayed in Shanghai during Winter Holiday.
President Li visited the rooms of each and every one of the 14 students who stayed in Shanghai for the holiday with gifts, such as dumplings, Tang-yuan(stickyrice ball),chocolates, Character Fu (red paper cuttings to symbolize Felicity) as well as Chinese-themed pantries. President Li kindly enquired onstudents' academic lives , reminded them of holiday safety and wished them a felicitous yet productive winter break - while focusing on academic achievements,it is also important to experience the atmosphere of Chiese holiday and further understandings of Chinese culture. The international students are grateful for President Li and SNAI's complete facilities and close attention that made their stay as pleasant as possible.
This year, there is great diversity in thestudent body of international students - who come from countries like Malawi,South Sudan, Cambodia, Mongolia, Ethiopia and Antigua and Barbuda. Thanks tothe SNAI executives' support, SNAI provided high-standard and convenient livingconditions for international students.
Support team has took special care forOlympic Park (name of the student residence) and its facilities, especiallyinspecting and maintaining power supply, water supply and air conditioning toensure all facilities work smoothly. During the winter holiday, technicians from logistics department still visits and fix issues in the student dormitory as problems arise. The department of information techonology provided free 4G internet-access card to meet students' communication needs during the stay. Overall, the international students express their appreciation and gratitude toward the living conditionSNAI provided, and wishes all faculty members the best during the holiday season.
