Graduation Ceremoy of the Class of 2023 held at SNAI

On the afternoon of July 10, the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023 of the Master of Professional Accounting Program for Developing Countries was held at the Shanghai National Accounting Institute(SNAI). Mr. Li Yong, former Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Mr. Lei Hao, Vice President of Academy for International Business Officials of MOFCOM (AIBO), Ms. Gao Daping, Deputy Director of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, and other distinguished guests, as well as all SNAI executives, SNAI faculty representatives, attended the ceremony. Twenty graduates of the class of 2023 from eight countries, including Namibia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Cambodia and Laos, and their relatives and friends, as well as the international students of the class of 2024 attended the ceremony. 

Vice President Lei Hao delivered a speech on behalf of AIBO, warmly congratulating the graduates. He hoped that thestudents would use what they have learned to serve their respective countries and strive to become pillars of the country, act as ambassadors of friendship between China and their respective countries and tell the world about a comprehensive and genuine China through their personal experiences. 

    

In her speech, Deputy Director General GaoDaping expressed three wishes for the international students: first, to beambassadors of friendship between China and their home countries; second, to beactive mediators of the cultures of China and their home countries; third, to be explorers in the area of financial knowledge and to maintain their enthusiasm and motivation to learn in the future workplace. 

  

The President of SNAI, Lu Wenbin, delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony, in which he acknowledged the great efforts made by the students in the past two years. He noted that the graduates should continue to carry forward the spirit of sincere cooperation and contribute to deepening the friendship and cooperation between the their home countries and China, as well as promoting people-to-people communication and building of a community of common destiny for all mankind.

 

    

Ms. NGHEDE, JONISIA MWASHEKA) from the Ministry of Finance of Namibia, and Mr. LO, HONG from the National Bank of Cambodia made speeches on behalf of the graduates, and Associate Professor WangLei made speeches on behalf of the faculty members.
