As I reflect on my journey, from humble beginnings to this important achievement, I am overwhelmed with gratitude to the Almighty for making this dream a reality. The path was not without its challenges – the initial frustrations, the dissatisfactions of leaving my beloved family, especially my two children who depend on me for everything. Their absence weighed heavily, and many nights were spent in tears, worried about their well-being. The transition to online learning via Zoom added another layer of difficulty, as I grappled with unfamiliar technology and even failed a course. Health issues further compounded the struggles, and at times, I felt like giving up.

 

However, when I reflected on the golden opportunity before me and the long journey I have covered from Liberia to China, leaving behind a life of poverty and limited prospects, a renewed determination took hold of me. I mustered the courage to seek help from friends, gradually mastering the technology and regaining my footing in the following semesters.

 

Graduating with a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from SNAI, an institution I never dreamed of attending, is a monumental achievement for me. In my home country, pursuing such an advanced degree would have been an insurmountable financial burden, as my focus was solely on providing an education for my children.

 

To SNAI, my esteemed institution, I extend my heartfelt appreciation. You have been a beacon of knowledge, a nurturing environment that has fostered my growth and empowered me to reach the stars. I am grateful for the unwavering support of the professors, the camaraderie of my peers, and the love of my family that have shaped this incredible journey.

 

As I look ahead, one sentence resonates deeply within me: "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." This powerful statement has been a guiding light, reminding me that with faith in myself and an unwavering commitment to my aspirations, I can conquer any challenge that lies ahead.
