Me and my incredible journey

The day has finally come where I congratulate myself on my master’s graduation.  Finding the right words that uniquely captures my joy and appreciation is proving challenging, as I am overjoyed at this very moment.

These few years, I have faced numerous challenges, from late-night study sessions to balancing academics with extracurricular activities and personal commitments. The ability to adapt, learn, unlearn, relearn and grow has been truly remarkable, studying in China and Shanghai National Accounting Institute has truly been an opportunity that opened so many doors of great change that affects us as individuals and our countries at large. The learning environment is conducive and serene, what stands out for me as an international student is the work and maintenance culture of China, it is worth emulating.

My journey through school has been filled with memorable experiences. The friendships that were forged, the mentors who have guided me, and the lessons I have learned have all played a crucial role in shaping who I am today. A lot was learned from the Chinese environment, the Chinese language to its culture, these are learnings that is forever going to be a part of my life’s journey.

As i step forward into the next chapter of my life, the knowledge and values instilled in me during this time is pivotal. I will embrace lifelong learning and stay curious. The world is full of opportunities waiting to be explored, and my education has provided me with the tools to navigate and seize them.

It is also important to acknowledge the incredible support system of my family, friends, teachers and mentors who have contributed to this success. Their belief in me and their sacrifices have been invaluable, and their unwavering support will continue to be a source of strength as I move forward. This is truly the beginning of new things as I always say “Faith is taking the first step not knowing where the next will be, believe you can and you're halfway there”.

Congratulations, Cynthia! You have achieved something truly special, and the future is yours to shape.
