I am deeply grateful to my creator for the breath of life and the incredible opportunity to study in China at the Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) over the past two years. This experience has been a dream come true, even though I never initially considered studying in China. It has been a wonderful journey that has left an indelible mark on my academic career. The saying, “Hardship is the beginning of manhood; no man fails in life till he gives up,” resonates deeply with me. Despite the challenges I faced throughout my academic career, my determination to persevere has brought me this far.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the government of Liberia, the Booker Washington Institute, my family, and most importantly, the government of the People’s Republic of China through MOFCOM for this life-changing opportunity. This experience has transformed my life, enabling me to contribute meaningfully to the rebuilding process of my country, Liberia. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude for this opportunity, which I will cherish throughout my life.

To the Shanghai National Accounting Institute, it was no mistake that my application was transferred to this esteemed institution. What a wonderful family you are! I will miss every day spent and every activity at SNAI during my two years of study. You are not just an institution but a family that cherishes every student, regardless of our diverse cultures and regions. You treated us based on the content of our characters, not the color of our skin. I hope to have another opportunity to visit China soon and reconnect with the SNAI family.

The China I envisioned before coming to study here has been completely transformed by my experience with the SNAI family. Initially, I had preconceived notions and expectations about how stories and media portrayals would shape life and education in China. However, my time at SNAI has shattered those stereotypes and replaced them with a profound appreciation for the country's rich culture, hospitality, and academic excellence. The SNAI community welcomed me with open arms, fostering an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect. I have been deeply impressed by the dedication of the faculty, the camaraderie among students, and the institution's commitment to nurturing global leaders. This transformative experience has broadened my academic horizons and enriched my personal growth, leaving me with a lasting admiration for China and its people.
