The Shanghai National Accounting Institute(SNAI) was officially established in September 2000 with the strong support of the Chinese government. SNAI, as a public service institution affiliated to the Ministry of Finance ofChina (MOF), is subject to the dual leadership of MOF and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. In 2011, SNAI was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council as the unit for conferring Master'sdegrees in Professional Accounting, Auditing, Tax and Finance. Looking forward, SNAI will continue to make unremitting efforts to build it into a leading accountinginstitute with international recognition, which constitutes the realization offour sub-goals as being a highland in bringing up top accounting talents in China,a think tank for national accounting policymaking and corporate finance, a nationwide knowledge and information hub onaccounting, and an international platform for communication and exchange inaccounting.


SNAI campus covers an area of 34.67 hectaresand a floor area of 87,000 square meters. Its geographical location also isfavorable, being adjacent to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and NationalExhibition and Convention Center. The park-like campus is equipped withfirst-class teaching and learning facilities, as well as single roomaccommodations with 24-hour air conditioning, hot water and wide-band networkfor the international students during their schooling.
