SNAI holds the 2018 Forum on Macroeconomic Development
The forum on macroeconomic development entitled New Trends in China’s Economic and Financial Policies was held on March 3 at SNAI. It was SNAI’s first forum in 2018. It was chaired by President Li Kouqing. Prof. Ba Shusong, who is Chief Economist of China Banking Association, Chief Economist of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Professor of Peking University, served as the instructor of the forum.
Prof Ba analyzed the logic behind China’s economic growth in terms of external forces, domestic household consumption, reforms in fiscal and financial policies, etc, and explored the major trends of economic growth when the driving force for economic development is undergoing changes.
China Banking Sector Training and Development Forum held at SNAI
SNAI in cooperation with China Training Institute co-hosted the Training and Development Forum for China’s Banking Sector on March 4. The forum, which is themed New Finance, New Talents and New Development, attracted nearly 300 training executives, trainers and instructors in the banking sector. New thoughts and trends on talent training and development for the banking sector were discussed and shared at the forum.
SNAI holds 2018 Annual Work Conference
SNAI held its 2018 annual work conference on March 5. All the departments reported on their work plans in 2018 and then SNAI leadership deployed the work for the year ahead. President Li Kouqing requested all the faculty and staff to learn and put in practice the gist of State President Xi Jinping’s major speeches, to be always mission-driven and to lead SNAI’s transformation and upgrading by quality-oriented development.
SNAI, CRAC hold a training course in Macau
SNAI in cooperation with the Committee for the Registry of Auditors and Accountants (CRAC) of Macau jointly organized a training course in Macau on March 12-13. SNAI Associate Professor Liu Fengwei served as the instructor of the training course. He shared his insights and expertise on financial statement analysis and its impact on business strategy and operations management with the accounting professionals in Macau.
SNAI sets up a field study site at China Finance and Taxation Museum
A field study site was set up at China Finance and Taxation Museum on March 20. Curator of the Museum Mr. Li Yuhuan and President of SNAI Mr. Li Kouqing attended the inauguration ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. Then all the international students of Grade 2017 carried out a field study there.
ICAEW President Nick Parker visits SNAI
On March 23, a delegation of five ICAEW senior executives led by its President Nick Parker visited SNAI. President Li Kouqing met with the delegation and held talks on several fields of cooperation between the two organizations.
SNAI organizes a tree-planting event in 2018
The annual tree-planting event was held at SNAI on March 23. Staff members and international students participated in the event to add a touch of new green to the campus. Vice President Lu Wenbin remarked that SNAI will further strengthen its awareness for environmental protection and do its part to build a green campus.
SNAI finally approved to launch its Professional Master Program in Finance
The Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council held its 34th session to review and approve the list of newly-established master and PhD degree programs as well as the institutes conferring the degrees on March 22. SNAI is finally approved to launch its Professional Master Program in Finance.
SNAI, International Economic Relations Department of MOF signs agreement on strengthening joint research
SNAI and the International Economic Relations Department of the Ministry of Finance signed an agreement to strengthen long-term cooperative research on March 28. SNAI will take this opportunity to better serve the nation’s social and economic construction and financial reform and development.
Executive Vice President of Clermont Business School Richard Soparnot visits SNAI
A delegation from France’s Clermont Business School led by its Executive Vice President Richard Soparnot paid a visit to SNAI recently. SNAI President Li Kouqing met with the delegation and exchanged ideas on potential cooperative programs and faculty and students exchange program between the two institutions.
Top Accounting Talents Training Program for Guangxi opened at SNAI
The Top Accounting Talents Training Program for Guangxi (the fifth cohort in the corporate setting) was opened at SNAI on March 26. This program is Guangxi’s first Top Accounting Talents Training Program since the release of the Ten-year Plan for Talent Development (2018-2028) by the Guangxi Provincial Department of Finance.
SNAI’s micro film wins award at Micro Film Contest
The micro film “Waiting for you at SNAI” produced by the EDP department of SNAI got a winning prize at the Micro Film Contest themed “My Endeavors on Reform and Development” organized by the Shanghai Municipal Public Institutions.
