On July 27, the Advisory Committee Meeting on Think Tank Construction was held at SNAI. The Committee members reviewed, discussed and voted on 17 think tank related projects at SNAI and provided their comments and suggestions.
SNAI holds 2018 CGMA TopCFO Exam Tutorial Sessions for National Leading Accounting Talents Program participants
On July 26-31, the 2018 CGMA TopCFO Exam Tutorial Sessions for National Leading Accounting Talents Program participants was held at SNAI. Over 30 participants of the Program attended the special tutorial sessions.
The CGMA TopCFO special track is opened by SNAI in cooperation with AICPA-CIMA for National Leading Accounting Talents Program participants, aiming to broaden their international horizon and enhance their global business operation capacity.
SNAI salutes the veterans working at SNAI on August 1
To mark the 91th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese People’s Liberation Army, on August 1, SNAI sent regards to the campus security guards team which consists of many veterans and demobilized cadres to express its appreciation for the efforts and contributions they made for the development of SNAI.
SNAI signs strategic cooperation agreement with Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP
On August 8, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between SNAI and Ernst & Young Hua Ming. Dr. Kouqing Li, President of SNAI and Tony Mao, Chief Partner of Ernst & Young Hua Ming signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The two parties will conduct all-round cooperation in accounting standards, applied research, joint development of an influential platform in the accounting sector as well as talent development to contribute to the realization of making China a powerful nation in accounting and to better serve China’s economic and social development.
The 7th cohort of National Leading Accounting Talents Program participants in the corporate setting went to Guiyang for field study
On August 6-9, the 7th cohort of National Leading Accounting Talents Program participants in the corporate setting went to Guiyang for field study. The participants visited Guiyang big data industrial park, big data comprehensive pilot area and discussed issues related to the security of big data, innovative service platform of big data, and the construction of a shared financial center. They also provided advice and suggestions to local businesses in terms of strategic, investment, and financial management to contribute to the development of the industry and society at large.
SNAI faculty develops a new course on Financial Statements Analysis and Corporate Value Creation
Recently, a new course on Financial Statements Analysis and Corporate Value Creation was developed by Prof. Guo Yongqing at SNAI. Putting value at the core, the course combines financial statements analysis with the process of corporate value creation and builds a new framework for financial statements analysis.
SNAI Communist Youth League Committee starts recruiting volunteers for CIIE
To better carry out the voluntary services for China International Import Expo (CIIE) and to present SNAI’s image, SNAI Communist Youth League Committee started the recruitment process for CIIE volunteers recently. Led by CIIE Youth League Alliance, SNAI Volunteers Team will provide services for exhibitions and advocate for civilized acts during the CIIE period to contribute to the successful conclusion of CIIE.
SNAI launches a survey on the Most Popular Public WeChat Account on Accounting for Accountants
Recently, SNAI Accounting Information Survey Center and the ACCA jointly released a questionnaire on the most popular public WeChat account on accounting that is favored by accountants. The survey is conducted to gain insights into accountants’ likes and preferences over all sorts of public WeChat account on Accounting in the era of self-media.
SNAI organizes a field study trip to NetEase for its alumni
To learn the advanced business development experience and to keep up with the development of the data age, SNAI organized a field study trip to Hangzhou to visit the NetEase, a well-known cross-border E-commerce platform in China on August 16.
The field study trip, mainly comprised of SNAI alumni, was led by President Li Kouqing. The visiting team gained insights on the big data application, technology and innovative ways of management behind businesses and had a live experience of NetEase’s management and business operation in the era of E-commerce 4.0.
SNAI Full-time graduate students achieves good results in the NECCS National Grand Finals
Recently, the 2018 National English Competition for College Students (NECCS) National Grand Finals was held in Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province. The SNAI 2017 full-time graduate student Wei Lan won a prize in the competition. This is the first time that a full-time Chinese graduate student at SNAI has ever entered the NECCS national grand finals and won an award.
Chinese graduate students 2018 starts school
On August 18, the opening ceremony for SNAI’s 2018 Professional Master’s Degree Candidates was held at SNAI. President Li Kouqing, Assistant President Yi Hongxun and some faculty representatives attended the ceremony. 110 full-time and 54 part-time Chinese graduate students attended the ceremony. The same evening, all the new students attended their first lecture at SNAI on “Promoting the Spirit of Party Construction and being Mission-Driven”, given by Cheng Ximin from the Shanghai Municipal Party School.
National LATP’s Visit to the Shanghai Shibei High-tech Park and the SNAI LATP Practice Base Inauguration Ceremony was successfully held
On August 20, an event called LATP’s Journey for the Public Interest, the second of this year, took place at the Shibei High-tech Park in Shanghai. A special seminar on the topic of “Big Data and Value Chain Reconstruction” was held. Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Cui Huaqing, Director of the Accounting Personnel Management Division of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, Shen Hong, Director of the Accounting Division of the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau, and Luo Lan, Chairman of Shanghai Shibei High-tech (Group) Co., Ltd. attended the event and delivered speeches at the seminar. Participants from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cohort of the Special Support Program of the National Leading Accounting Talents Program participated in the event. In the meantime, the inauguration ceremony of the SNAI Leading Accounting Talents Practice Base was held there to further deepen cooperation between the two organizations and to jointly create a social practice platform for leading accounting talents.
SNAI released the Graduate Students’ Handbook on Integrity
Recently, SNAI issued the Graduate Students’ Handbook on Integrity to all its graduate students. The Handbook collected a series of educational activities carried out by the SNAI for its postgraduate students in recent years. Aiming at promoting the understanding of the SNAI’s school motto, the infiltration of a culture of integrity, the institutionalization of regulations on integrity, the academic integrity rating, etc., the Handbook will guide the graduate students to actively participate in the construction of a culture of integrity and to become a communicator and practitioner of the spirit of “No Misrepresentations in Financial Statements”.
SNAI faculty won the Second National MT Excellent Teaching Case Award
Recently, the National Taxation Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee announced the award-winning list of the Second National MT Excellent Teaching Cases Award. 3 teaching cases from SNAI won the award and were included in the case library of China Professional Degree Teaching Case Center, making SNAI the institution with the most award-winning cases in this Excellent Teaching Case Competition Event.
SNAI holds graduation ceremony for the 17th cohort and opening ceremony for the 19th cohort of the SNAI-CUHK EMPAcc program
On August 25, the graduation ceremony for the 17th cohort and the opening ceremony for the 19th cohort of the EMPAcc program participants conducted between Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was held at SNAI. SNAI President Li Kouqing, and Dean Chen Jiale of the Business School at the CUHK attended the ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.
President Li Kouqing interviewed by China Management Accounting Studies
President Li Kouqing recently was interviewed by China Management Accounting Studies on the issue of accounting infrastructure construction under the “Belt and Road Initiative”. He said that considering the complexity of the national conditions of the countries along the “Belt and Road”, enterprises can strengthen the accounting infrastructure construction from three dimensions, i.e. accounting standards, accounting supervision and accounting talents, and cooperate with other countries to actively promote the convergence or equivalence of the accounting standards in countries along the “Belt and Road”, so as to contribute to the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative.
The 13th cohort of National Leading Accounting (Reserve) Talents Program for Engineering Enterprises officially starts school at SNAI
Recently, the 13th cohort of National Leading Accounting (Reserve) Talents Program participants from Engineering Enterprises officially entered SNAI for the first one-month intensive training in 2018. A total of 60 participants were admitted to the Program. The training covers a variety of themes, such as supply chain management, Internet business model, and financial strategy. It also runs through a variety of learning modes such as group discussions, in-class presentations, research topics and report writing.
China-Cambodia training workshop on "Public Financial Management Reform and FMIS: China’s Experience" held in Beijing
On August 27, the 2018 China-Cambodia Finance Officials Capacity Building Program on “Public Financial Management Reform and Financial Management Information System (FMIS): China’s Experience” was held in Beijing. The training Course was jointly organized by AFDI in cooperation with the Economics and Finance Institute (EFI) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) of Cambodia. Pich Sambath, Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. 28 officials at the Director-General level from Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Provincial Department of Finance attended the training.
SNAI organizes a Financial Training Workshop for Senior Management in the Air Traffic Control System
On August 28-30, a financial training workshop for senior management in the air traffic control system was held at SNAI. The workshop was designed to further enhance the executive’s comprehensive quality and legal awareness, to help them accurately grasp the macro financial and economic policies, and to standardize financial operation. Che Jinjun, Director of the Air Traffic Control Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration, and Lu Wenbin, Vice President of the SNAI attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.
SNAI attends the 2018 National Graduate Admissions Academic Seminar and Training Conference
On August 28-29, representatives from the graduate education department went to Tianjin to participate in the “2018 National Graduate Admissions Academic Seminar and Training Conference”. The conference was sponsored by the Talents Selection and Evaluation Committee of the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Society and hosted by China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Tianjin University. Nearly 300 representatives from universities all over China participated in the meeting to exchange ideas and discuss common issues in graduate admission.
