SNAI actively serves the first China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The first China International Import Expo was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, which is very close to SNAI on November 5-10. According to the instructions given by the minister, SNAI is committed to provide its full resource and personnel support to this great event in the areas of reception, conference service, volunteer service, publicity, which in turn could contribute to quality development of the institute.

SNAI President Li Kouqing invited to attend the first Advisory Council   Meeting of CAREC Institute (CI)

The first Advisory Council Meeting of CAREC Institute(CI) was held in Beijing on November 5. SNAI President Li Kouqing was invited to attend the meeting together with Mr. Batanasan Namsrai , professor of Business School of the National University of Mongolia, Mr. Isgender Orazov, Deputy Director General of Ministry of Finance and Economy, Turkmenistan, Mr. Katsu Shigeo, President of Nazarbayev University, Kazakhastan, Mr. Werner Liepach, Director General of Central and West Asia Department, ADB and Mr. Bayaraa Sanjaasuren, CAREC Institute Director. Participants discussed the CI 2022 Strategic Framework, the financial stability of CI, CAREC-BRI cooperation, global and regional economic trends and the emerging role of CI.

Project of Dr.Ma Changfeng approved to be initiated as general project for 2018 Shanghai Social Science Planning

The project of Dr.Ma Changfeng from SNAI Financial Research Institute,  titled the research on measuring readability of Chinese annual report (abstract) was officially approved to be initiated as general project for 2018 Shanghai Social Science Planning.

ACCA delegation visits SNAI

The delegation led by ACCA Chief Executive Ms. Helen Brand and Vice President of Alibaba Mr. Liu Song visited SNAI on November 6. SNAI President Li Kouqing and SNAI Assistant President Yi Hongxun met with the delegation discussing the progress of the cooperation with ACCA so far, the potential work to be carried out as well as the potential collaboration with Alibaba Group. Consensus was reached in many areas such as participant visit, data platform and particular knowledge service.

Delegation of Alma-Ata Trade & Investment Chamber of Commerce visits SNAI

The delegation of Alma-Ata Trade & Investment Chamber of Commerce led by its General Manager Mr.Mukhtarkhan BIYAROV visited SNAI on November 8. SNAI President Li Kouqing met with the delegation. Both sides had the discussion on establishing long-term cooperation relationship in the area of finance and tax. The representatives of SNAI regional capacity building department and research department joined the meeting.  

The 13^th joint training of National Leading Accounting Talents Program held at SNAI

The 13^thjoint training of National Leading Accounting Talents Program was held at SNAI on November 11-16. This training covered topics such as macro economy, 40-year reform and opening up, aerospace industry, financial and tax reform, AI and big data, management accounting, emergency management , China International Import Expo, international relations, law and health management, traditional culture through a variety of activities such as Academician Lecture, Lectures of Famous Authors，Elite Lecture, management accounting forum, reading club to help the participants improve the capacity and competency to better understand the national leading reform measures.

The 6^th management accounting forum held successfully

The 6^th management accounting forum themed management accounting reporting: application and innovation was held on November 15 at SNAI. This forum aimed to discuss how to explore the best solution to corporate decision-making information through the strategic point of view. Over one thousand participants who joined the LATP joint training at SNAI attended this forum.

Workshop on Private Public Partnership——Experience of China held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The workshop on Private Public Partnership——Experience of China was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia during November 12-14. 30 government officials from Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia as well as other central ministries attended this training. Dr. Hean Sahib, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Ministry of Economy and Finance and Mr. Liu Qin, SNAI Vice President attended the opening ceremony and gave welcome remarks.

2018 IMA scholarship award ceremony held at SNAI

The 2018 IMA scholarship award ceremony was held at SNAI on November 14. Mr. Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Mr. Kip Krumwiede, IMA research director and Ms. Luo xiaoqin, IMA knowledge manager attended the award ceremony. All together 10 international students received the scholarship awards, including nine for academic performance award and one for academic progress award. The IMA scholarship is funded especially for SNAI international students to promote and inspire their studying and innovative efforts.

Professor from London School of Economics and Political Science gives lecture to international students

Mr. Wim A. Van der Stede, CIMA professor of Accounting and Financial Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science gave a presentation on finance and governance——assessing risks and driving sustainable performance. Over 70 people including faculties and international students attended this lecture. The participants exchanged ideas with Professor Wim on issues such as how business decision makers achieve balance between smooth operation and risk taking as well as how businesses conduct risk review.

Lecture on employment guidance held for full-time graduate students

The lecture on how to succeed in achieving the transformation from student to financial professional manager was held at SNAI to better prepare the graduate students to plan for their career development. SNAI alumnus Li Zheng, Chief Accounting at the Power China Resources Limited was invited to give a presentation on many valuable job hunting experience as well as how to better set target and plan life. The 2018 graduate students joined this lecture.

The 2^nd SNAI alumni day held successfully

The 2^ndSNAI alumni day was successfully at SNAI on November 24. The alumni day event included a series of activities such as Alumni Talk Show, One More Class, Open-Air Market, and Integrity Culture Exhibition. About 800 alumni joined this event. The alumni day activity aims to strengthen the bond between SNAI and alumni, promotes the information exchange and communication and offer life-long development for the alumni, who are valuable assets for SNAI in its pursuit of building itself into an internationally-renowned accounting institute.

SNAI President Li Kouqing attends 2018 ICAEW annual forum and gives keynote speech

The 2018 ICAEW annual forum on the future development of accounting and financial sector in the new economy was held in Shanghai on November 23. SNAI President Li Kouqing was invited to give a keynote speech on reshaping the global economic landscape and financial development. Over 200 practitioners and experts joined this forum.

SNAI delegation led by its Assistant President Yi Hongxun visited Britain and Switzerland for academic exchange with some institutions and universities including the headquarters of ACCA, ICAEW, the University of Liverpool in London, University College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as the Switzerland offices of Deloitte and Ernest &Young to have in-depth discussions on accounting professional education and research cooperation.

2017 international students go to Guangxi Province for field study

The 2017 international students went to Guangxi province for field study and attended the MPAcc academic forum held at the Guangxi University of Finance and Economics on November 27. This field trip was intended to focus on the topics of poverty alleviation and regional cooperation through lecture and on-site studying, which helped the international students to have a deeper understanding of the China’s national condition, to share China’s development experience and to promote the Belt and Road financial capacity building and cooperation.

SNAI graduate students continue to succeed in the 15^th Huawei Cup China Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling

The summary meeting of 2018 China Post-Graduate Innovative Practices Contests was held at the East China Normal University on November 26. It was announced at the meeting that three SNAI graduate students won the third prizes and four graduate students won participation award in the 15th Huawei Cup China Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, which is better than last year’s result.
