2019 Asian Evaluation Week held in Kunming, Yunan province
The 2019 Asian Evaluation Week, cosponsored by the Ministry of Finance, PRC and Asian Development Bank and co-organized by SNAI, Independent Evaluation Group of ADB and Yunnan provincial finance department was launched on September 2 in Kunming city, attracting about 260 participants from more than 30 international organizations and 50 countries. The opening ceremony was moderated by Li Kouqing, SNAI President. Zhang wencai, Director General of Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation, Hao Lei, Deputy Director General of Department of Budgeting of Ministry of Finance, Chen shixin, Deputy Governor of ADB, Marvin Taylor-Dormond, Director General of IED, ADB and Zhang Yansong, Governor of Yunan Provincial Financial Department attended the opening.
Second batch of the MOF International Leading Accounting Talents Program officially launched
With the great attention and scientific planning of the Party group of the Ministry of Finance, the second batch of the MOF International Leading Accounting Talents Program has been officially launched after nearly half a year selection process. Gao Yibin, Director of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance and Director of the Accounting Standards Committee, Xue Wei, Vice President of the Beijing National Accounting Institute, Li Kouqing, SNAI President and Huang shizhong , President of Xiamen National Accounting Institute attended the opening ceremony and gave remarks.
Leading Accounting Talents Program of Shanxi Province (2nd batch) successfully concluded
The Leading Accounting Talents Program of Shanxi Province (2nd batch) was successfully concluded on September 4th. An xiaofei, Deputy Governor of Shanxi Provincial Finance Department, Liu qin, SNAI Vice President attended the closing ceremony. There are 63 participants for this batch. Several participants were awarded with the Outstanding Participant Award, Active Participant Award and Excellent Research Project Award.
Eighth batch of Leading Accounting Talents Program of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held at SNAI
The eighth batch of Leading Accounting Talents Program of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has been recently held at SNAI. Purati mamti, Deputy Director of the Accounting Affairs Service Center of Xinjiang Provincial Financial Department, together with relevant staff attended the opening ceremony. About 40 participants from major enterprises, accounting firms and administrative institutions in Xinjiang participated in the training.
"Accounting Oral History (First Series)" compiled by SNAI published
In order to capture and record the history of the accounting industry, SNAI launched the “Accounting Oral History” project in 2012, focusing on the oral records of the seniors in the accounting profession. As of June this year, 47 people have been recorded, and the average age of the people at the time of recording exceeded 80 years old. "Accounting Oral History (First Series)" has been recently published by Lixin Accounting Publishing House. It contains the recordings of 10 seniors born in 1927 and before that year. These oral histories presented by the seniors who created and witnessed the history would serve as precious historic archives for the successors to study and research the accounting history.
SNAI organizes conference to celebrate the Teacher’s Day
SNAI held the 2019 commendation conference to celebrate the 35th Teacher’s Day on September 10. All employees attended this meeting, which was moderated by Lu Wenbin, SNAI Vice President. Yi Hongxun, SNAI Assistant President announced the Teacher’s Day congratulatory message from the Ministry of Finance and the commendation list for 2019. Li Kouqing, SNAI President made a concluding speech, advocating all the faculties to be the beacon for the students, to nurture them, to disseminate knowledge and use the selfless light to illuminate the road for the growth and development of students, cultivate and inspire high-level financial management talents with both competency and integrity to better serve the high-quality development of China's economy.

held
The opening ceremony of 2019 training workshop for senior financial managers of SDIC Group was successfully held on September 9 at SNAI. Li Kouqing, SNAI President gave welcome remarks at the opening. Shen Yu, chief accountant of SDIC Group attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 80 senior financial managers from SDIC participated in the training.

The opening ceremony of the training workshop for senior financial personnel of China Aviation Engine Group Co., Ltd. was successfully held on September 9 at SNAI, attracting 70 participants. The opening ceremony was moderated by Sun Hongwei, Director of Finance Department of China Aviation Development Group Co., Ltd. Lu Wenbin, SNAI Vice President attended the opening and gave remarks.
MOU signed between SNAI and the Asian Development Bank
2019 Asian Evaluation Week has been successfully held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. During the event, SNAI signed a memorandum of understanding with the Asian Development Bank. The two sides will further strengthen the cooperation in four areas, including regional capacity building, accounting talent training, cooperative research, and innovative knowledge sharing.
Strategic partnership reached between the American Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and Intelligent Finance Research Center of SNAI
The American Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the Intelligent Finance Research Center of SNAI has recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will build a long-term cooperative relationship of mutual trust. With the principle of achieving complementary advantages and resource sharing, the two parties will jointly carry out research work in related fields to promote innovation in the financial field, lead new technologies and new ideas, and promote enterprise management transformation and cutting-edge accounting research.
Online orientation arranged for 2019 international students prior to their arrival in China
After scrutinized screening and selection, 31 SNAI international students of 2019 will soon arrive on campus to begin their pursuit of master’s degree. In order to better arrange the orientation sessions for the fresh students, to help them better understand the Chinse law and regulation and also better plan for their future life and study, the department of international graduate students of SNAI has arranged an online orientation session for the international students recently. With the broadcasting of the live presentation given by the program coordinator and senior students at the studio, the 2019 students across the globe were connected to watch this live session.
Delegation of China Business Executives Academy, Dalian visits SNAI
The delegation of China Business Executives Academy, Dalian led by Dong Dahai, its Executive Vice President visited SNAI on September 10, conducting the field study in the areas of bottleneck problems of human resources management. Lu Wenbin, SNAI Vice President moderated the meeting. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the development of the faculties team, career ladders for employees, performance-based salary reform, and postgraduate education program.
14th batch of National Leading Accounting Talent Program starts at SNAI
The 14th batch of National Leading Accounting Talent Program was held at SNAI on September 16. The relevant officials of the accounting department of Ministry of Finance, and Li Kouqing, SNAI President attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. A total of 60 participants of this batch participated in the first round of trainings on topics such as supply chain management, Internet business model, financial strategy, international accounting standards, game theory, financial statements, statistics, and Chinese studies.
Department of Accounting of MOF official give remarks at the opening ceremony of the 14th batch of the National Leading Accounting Talents Program (Enterprise Track)
Sun Zhi, Deputy Director General of Department of Accounting of MOF gave remarks at the opening ceremony of the 14th batch of the National Leading Accounting Talents Program (Enterprise Track). Sun zhi first extended his warm congratulations to the newly-recruited participants on their passing the rigorous assessment and selection process and becoming the best among their accounting peers. He noted that the big family of National Leading Accounting Talents Program has 44 classes with 1823 participants. The participants will received the best accounting practice training of highest quality not only in Shanghai but also the whole country. The Ministry of Finance will always give its full attention and support to this program. We will be fully involved in every process including the research project review, interim review as well as the final review upon graduation. He congratulated all the participants on getting the opportunity to begin the pursuit of knowledge at the university again. Sun zhi mentioned that this program is a very important integral part of the national talents development plan, which has significant role in accounting talents development. Under the strong leadership of the Ministry of Finance and joint efforts of CICPA, China Accounting Society, BNAI, SNAI and XNAI, this program is now recognized as a renowned brand in accounting talents development with high visibility and reputation. This program has been supported by many officials and leaders and it carries the expectation of accountants to create value, be proficient in management and go abroad. We must inherit, maintain and strengthen the brand. Finally, Sun Zhi noted several expectations for the new students: first, to be ambitious; second, to be honest and trustworthy; third, to be diligent in learning and brave in practice; fourth, to take responsibility and perform their duties; fifth, to remember their mission and lead a good team.
Distance learning workshop on integrity education commissioned by CICPA held at Beijing
The distance learning workshop on integrity education commissioned by CICPA was held in Beijing from September 18-20. About 16500 participants including heads, CPAs and assistant accountants from 9,000 accounting firms nationwide participated in this training. Shu Huihao, Party Secretary and Secretary General of CICPA, Li Kouqing, SNAI President attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Li Yuguo, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Beijing CPA Industry attended the opening ceremony. Liang Liqun, Deputy Secretary of the Beijing CPA industry moderated the opening ceremony.

2019 training workshop for senior financial personnel of China Aviation Industry Corporation was held at SNAI during September 17-19. About 100 heads of the financial departments of Aviation Industry Group participated in the training. The faculty team for this training workshop includes Zhang Minsheng, chief accountant of Aviation Industry Group, Professor Li Kuoqing, SNAI President and Professor Yuan Min, etc.

SNAI organizes seminar for the think tank project of building an internationally renowned accounting institute
Professor Ying Wangjiang, director of the development planning department of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics was invited to conduct special consultations around the research project of building of an internationally renowned accounting institute on September 20. The participants had an in-depth discussion on the index system of an internationally renowned accounting institute and the path towards that goal. The meeting was moderated by Li Kouqing, SNAI President. The relevant personnel of this research project joined the meeting.
SNAI organizes alumni event at the Siemens Financial Sharing Center
SNAI has recently organized its alumni to visit the Siemens Global Business Center (GBS) for communication and exchange recently. The event connected the management teams of Siemens GBS at Shanghai and Beijing to carry out in-depth discussions on the topics such as the structure of Siemens GBS, design concepts, service process scope, and corporate digital construction.

SNAI organizes the lecture on anti-corruption
In order to further promote anti-corruption work, implement the decision of the Ministry of Finance to carry out awareness education campaign within the scope of subordinate enterprises and institutions, improve the integrity and self-discipline of all the employee and develop strong awareness against corruption, SNAI invited Professor Li Xiang from East China University of Political Science and Law to give a lecture on “Implementing the Clean and Honest Administration and Anti-corruption Work with the Implementation of the Supervision Law”. Yi Hongxun, SNAI Assistant President moderated the lecture. Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Lu Wenbin, SNAI Vice President as well as all the staff attended the lecture. This lecture is not only one of the activities of the SNAI’s awareness education campaign, but also a special study session of the SNAI’s Party Committee in September.
National Leading Accounting Talents Program outreach activity held in Qinghai Province
In order to promote the sharing of excellent practices in the supervision of fiscal funds for poverty alleviation, and to guide leading accounting talents to play an active role in the financial and fiscal work, SNAI, together with the Qinghai Provincial Finance Department, the Qinghai Regulatory Bureau of MOF and the China Accounting Daily jointly organized the national leading accounting talent program outreach activity-the forum on targeted poverty alleviation with the perspective of accounting and finance to discuss the problems faced by the supervision of fiscal funds for poverty alleviation, share useful practices and experience and build an exchange and learning platform with the leading role of accounting talents. Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Wang Peng, Deputy Director General of the Finance Department of Qinghai Provincial Finance Department, Yuan Kefa, member of the Party Committee of the Qinghai Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, and Chen Qinghua, editor-in-chief of the China Accounting Daily attended the event and delivered speeches.
Training workshop for leading international talents of CCCC completed
The closing ceremony of the training workshop for the international financial management talents of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) was held at SNAI on September 26. Peng Bihong, CFO and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of CCCC, Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Yu Xiangtian, director of ACCA China Affairs attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches. 50 participants from the training workshop attended the event. The preparations for the first phase of the international financial management talents training project of CCCC began in 2017 and it officially launched in June 2018. After one and a half years, the participants have completed 6 concentrated trainings, 10 lessons conducted in English and 9 ACCA standard tests before graduation. This project is a historic attempt for SNAI to collaborate with enterprises to provide advanced training for international talents. It is also the first long-term project in China that is tailor-made for local companies and aims to cultivate CFO talents working overseas.

The opening ceremony of SNAI international students of 2019 Master of Professional Accounting Program was held on September 27 at SNAI. The 31 international students of 2019 class are from 14 countries such as Sierra Leone, Namibia, Tanzania , Eritrea, Liberia, Ghana, Malawi, Grenada, South Sudan, Botswana, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar. Liu Mingzhe, Deputy Director General of MOFCOM training center, Han bing, Director of the Accounting Department of MOF, Li Kouqing, SNAI President, Lu Wenbin, SNAI Vice President and Yi hongxun, SNAI Assistant President were present at the ceremony together with all the 2018 international students and some faculty representatives.

The “Leading Wisdom “event of the ninth batch of National Leading Accounting Talents Program (Enterprise Track) has been recently held in Rongchang district, Chongqing city. The seminar discussed the regional economic transformation and upgrading, investment and financing path model and Rongchang development opportunity. It also provided consultation and suggestions for Rongchang development. The event included the Rongchang promotion conference, the seminar on National Leading Accounting Talents Program, and the closed-door session of the government, providing experience sharing and dialogue on the topics such as infrastructure investment, financing path and the PPP project investment model, financial support for SOE and industrial transformation, financial services, real economy and finance service innovation, state-owned enterprise reform, mixed ownership and governance mechanisms, etc. Cao Qingyao, Secretary of the Rongchang District Party Committee, and Li Zhongwu, Deputy Secretary of the district party committee and district mayor attended the event.
Forum on logic and prospects of the digital economy joint with the closing forum of the advanced course on CFO Digital Leadership (First batch ) held at SNAI.
The forum on logic and prospects of the digital economy, jointly sponsored by SNAI, Alibaba Cloud Computing Co. Ltd, ACCA and Deloitte was held at SNAI on September 21. This is also the closing forum of the advanced course on CFO Digital Leadership (first batch). Tu Zipei, former vice president of Alibaba Group and CEO of Modern Civilization Technology was invited by SNAI to give a presentation, focusing on "What is the nature of accounting numbers?", "How does big data evolve?" and "What are the challenges facing the digital age?" The logic and outlook of the digital economy are explained from the perspective of accounting. Li Kouqing, SNAI President chaired the forum and delivered an opening speech. More than 400 participants including the participants of the advanced training course on CFO digital leadership (first batch), experts and scholars, practitioners, and SNAI graduate students attended the forum.
SNAI faculty participate in the brisk walking activity of Shanghai municipal authorities
In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Party Committee of Shanghai Municipal Authorities organized a brisk walking activity with the theme of walking into a new era and striving for new roles” in Binjiang area of Pudong district on September 21. Zhuge Yujie, secretary general of the Municipal Party Committee attended the event and the starting pistol was fired by him. Yang Shu, Executive Deputy Secretary of the municipal government's work committee moderated the opening of the brisk walking event. About 2000 CPC members from 60 municipal authorities including 16 SNAI staff took part in this event to extend their sincere blessings to the 70th birthday of our great motherland.
SNAI organizes "growing up under the national flag" event
In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, SNAI Youth League Committee and SNAI graduate students’ General Branch of the Youth League and General Party Branch jointly organized the event with the theme of "growing up under the national flag" . This event comprises of five parts, including flag-raising ceremony, Youth League lecture, speech, review of the oath to join the Youth League as well as the chorus of the Youth League song. Approximately 200 people including SNAI faculty and their children participated in the event.
2019 SNAI Campus Open Day organized with OAO approach
The 2019 SNAI Campus Open Day was held on September 22. About 70 undergraduate students interested in applying for SNAI master programs visited the campus, accompanied by the SNAI volunteers. The open day event included the campus tour, admission policy briefing, Q&A, etc, which could help these students to better understand the latest information about admission and what the campus life looks like. This event takes the OAO approach with both on-site event as well as online broadcasting of the event, which made it possible for those who could not attend this event to have the same experience of the Campus Open Day.
