2019 advanced training program commissioned by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security held at SNAI

Commissioned by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the 2019 training program on upgrading knowledge of professional and technical personnel—the advanced training workshop on Internet Plus Initiative、targeted poverty alleviation and supervision of fiscal fund was held in Chengdu on November 3. It is also the fourth consecutive year for SNAI to organize the advanced training courses for professional and technical personnel since the SNAI was approved as the fifth batch of national continuing training base for professional and technical personnel by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Nearly 70 students from Sichuan, Hunan, Yunnan, Shandong and other provinces and cities participated in the training course.

Advanced training course for CFOs launched at SNAI 

The advanced training course for CFOs was successfully launched at SNAI on November 4. The course focuses on macroeconomics and corporate strategy, technological development and corporate applications, business analysis and decision-making support, corporate finance and value creation, corporate governance, incentive mechanisms as well as strategic thinking, etc. It aims to train senior managers for Chinese enterprise who could adapt to the economic globalization, especially those high-level financial management talents who can meet the needs of the new era of economic development.

Leading Accounting Talents Program of Sichuan Province (Enterprise Track, First Batch) successfully completed

The Leading Accounting Talents Program of Sichuan Province (Enterprise Track, First Batch) has recently completed a three-year cycle of training at SNAI with a closing ceremony held. SNAI Assistant President Yi Hongxun and the relevant officials of the Sichuan Provincial Finance Department attended the closing ceremony. The outstanding students and research teams of the class were commended at the ceremony.

2019 Training workshop for young officials of Shanxi Rural Credit Cooperative  (Third Batch) successfully completed

The closing ceremony of 2019 Training workshop for young officials of Shanxi Rural Credit Cooperative has been successfully concluded. The Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanxi Rural Credit Cooperative Union Cui Lianhui and SNAI President Li Kouqing attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches. The relevant staff of Shanxi Rural Credit Cooperative Union and SNAI participated in the event.

SNAI graduate students participate in the voluntary non-remunerated blood donation

In order to promote the humanitarian spirit of helping others and promote the cultural and ideological progress, SNAI Youth League Committee and the Volunteer Service Team have recently organized SNAI faculty and students to participate in the voluntary non-remunerated blood donation at the blood station in Qingpu District, Shanghai with 14 graduate students joining this activity.

SNAI President Li Kouqing invited to attend the 2019 Chongqing Talent Conference and delivers a keynote speech

At the invitation of the Organizing Committee of the Chongqing Talent Conference, SNAI President Li Kouqing attended the 2019 Chongqing Talent Conference joint the Chongqing Think Tank Financial Talent Development Forum hosted by the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government during November 9-11. President Li delivered the keynote speech on promoting high-quality development.  At the sideline of the conference, the agreement on jointly developing field study site for training of leading financial talents was signed between SNAI and the People's Government of Rongchang District.

Second China Outstanding CFO Leadership Awards announced

The second China Excellent CFO Leadership Awards, sponsored by the CFO Leadership Research Center jointly established by SNAI, ACCA and the world's leading talent and organization consulting company Korn / Ferry was announced at ACCA CFO summit on November 12. This award selection was launched in June 2019. It aims to discuss and study the standards and competency framework of outstanding CFO leadership with professional and objective selection criteria and selection processes, together with elites and academics from all walks of life, which could lay a solid academic foundation for the studying of Chinese CFO leadership and promote the development of the entire industry.

Leading Accounting Talents Program of Langfang City, Zhangjiakou City successfully completed

The Leading Accounting Talents Program of Langfang City, Zhangjiakou City has recently completed the 3-year cycle of training, with a closing ceremony held at the SNAI. The Deputy Director of Zhangjiakou Finance Bureau Chen Xuechun, the Deputy Director of Langfang Finance Bureau Du Hongming and SNAI Assistant President Yi Hongxun attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches.

Painting China activity held at SNAI

In order to further strengthen international cultural exchanges and enhance the understanding and recognition of Chinese excellent traditional culture by international students, SNAI organized the “Painting China” activity on November 11, followed by the successful photo exhibition of “Along with China” during the National Day Holiday. Mr. Shen Zhikang, national first-class artist, member of Shanghai Artists Association and Shanghai Calligraphers Association was invited to teach the international students traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy and let them have a hands-on experience of the charm of traditional Chinese art.

SNAI graduate students achieve good results in the 16th "Huawei Cup" China Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition in 2019

The expert committee of China Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition has recently released the result of the 16th "Huawei Cup" China Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest in 2019. A total of 16 full-time graduate students of SNAI won awards in this competition, which also marks the highest number of winners so far. The China Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest is one of the competitions with the theme of "National Postgraduate Innovation Practice” , organized by the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education.

SNAI wins the awards of the Excellent Theses, Excellent Survey Reports and Excellent Official Documents for financial work of 2018
The selection of the awards of Excellent Theses, Excellent Survey Reports, and Excellent Official Documents for the financial work of 2018 has been successfully completed. A total of 12 papers from SNAI (4 theses and 8 survey reports) was submitted for competition, with 6 papers winning the awards after two rounds of selection by the jury. Two theses were awarded third prize and excellent prize respectively, and 4 survey reports were awarded second prize and excellent prize respectively.

SNAI-Carey EMBA Program ranks 12th globally in the Financial Times ranking of 2019
The Financial Times released the list of the top 100 global EMBA programs in 2019 on November 18. The EMBA program collaborated between SNAI and ASU made a considerable jump in the ranking, from 25^th in 2018 to 12^th in 2019, which also marks the best ranking so far.

Seventh Management Accounting Forum successfully held

The 7th Management Accounting Forum hosted by SNAI, co-organized by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Taiwan National Chengchi University came to a successful conclusion on November 16. The theme of the forum was finance empowers innovation and development and topics such as technology development and financial innovation, accounting standards and corporate innovation, innovation-driven and risk management were discussed at the forum to explore how the finance personnel, including CFOs can better empower innovation and promote development of enterprises. More than 600 finance personnel from all over the country participated in the forum. Nearly 30 media such as Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, China People's Broadcasting Station Economic Voice, China News Agency, China Economic Times covered the news.

First training workshop of the China-Lao capacity building program held

The first training workshop on China Finance and Accounting Development of the China-Lao Finance and Economic Capacity Building Program, jointly organized by SNAI and the Institute of Economics and Finance of the Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR was held at SNAI during November 18-22. Ten senior government officials from the Accounting Department, the Taxation Department, the Treasury Department, the Debt Management Department, the Permanent Secretariat and the Academy of Economics and Finance of the Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR joined this training workshop. SNAI President Li Kouqing and the Director of the Academy Senesak SOULYSAK attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the two sides.

2019 Digitalization and Management Accounting Forum held in Meishan city

The 2019 Digitalization and Management Accounting Forum co-hosted by SNAI, Sichuan Provincial Department of Finance, Meishan Municipal Finance Bureau, Sichuan Accounting Association, Meishan Financial Accounting Association, and organized by Jinjiang College of Sichuan University was held in Jinjiang college, Sichuan University on November 15. The Executive Deputy Mayor of Meishan city Zhu Yun, SNAI Vice President Liu Qin, the Inspector of Sichuan Provincial Department of Finance Huang You, the Director of Accounting Department of Sichuan Provincial Department of Finance (and Secretary-General of Provincial Accounting Society) Liu Xiufeng, the Vice President of the Jinjiang College of Sichuan University He Zhiwei and the Secretary of the Party Group and the Director of Meishan Municipal Finance Bureau Liu Hanxue attended the opening ceremony. About 400 participants including leading accounting talents from Sichuan Province, the leading accounting talents from Meishan City, the financial leaders at all levels in Meishan City, the financial managers of enterprises and institutions, and some faculties and students from Jinjiang college attended the forum.

SNAI Li Kouqing leads a team to visit Japan for the cooperation in the area of elite talents nurturing

SNAI President Li Kouqing led a team to Japan during November 24-28, visiting the Toyota Group and the Kyocera Group to discuss the development trends of the accounting industry and potential cooperation and visiting Osaka City University and Kansai University to exchange ideas on the current situation of accounting courses offered by both sides as well as the cooperation of the relevant projects.

Training workshop on Public-Private Partnerships——Experience of China held in Phnom Penh

The training course on Public-Private Partnership——Experience of China , jointly organized by SNAI (AFDI), China Public Private Partnerships Center(CPPPC) and the Economic and Finance Institute (EFI) of Cambodian Ministry of Finance and Economics has recently been held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. More than 30 Cambodian provincial officials participated in the training. The Deputy Minister of State of Cambodian Ministry of Finance and Economics and the State Secretary Dr. Hean Sahib and SNAI Assistant President Yi Hongxun attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The Leading Talents Training Program for Economic Management in the Health Industry (second batch ) has recently completed at SNAI. SNAI Vice President Liu Qin and the Deputy Director of the Finance Division of the Henan Health Commission Zhao Shuichang attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches. SNAI 3^rd Alumni Day Event was successfully held at SNAI on November 23, including sessions such as SNAI alumni lecture, fashion markets, elite forums, etc. More than 500 alumni from all walks of life joined this event. Forum on Hospital Operation Management: Innovation and Practice held at SNAI

The forum on Hospital Operation Management: Innovation and Practice has recently been held at SNAI. More than 200 participants including the experts from the municipal hospital, Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, and the students of SNAI attended the forum. The participating experts focused on the key issues and obstacles in the operation and management of the hospitals for exchange of ideas and interactive discussion. In order to further promote the international development of SNAI's research work and stimulate faculties’ research enthusiasm, The professor of the School of Business of the University of Manchester and the editor of the Accounting and Business Research of the SSCI journal Edward Lee has recently been invited to SNAI to give a special-topic lecture on the topic of "What Academic "Journals look for" , introducing the review standards and requirements of SSCI international journal as well as china related issues to the students and faculties of China.

SNAI awarded with the Excellent Organization Award for organizing the event with the theme of” I am a Chinese Graduate Student, I like my motherland”

The 2019 China Graduate Media Joint Conference and conclusion meeting of the event with the theme of “ I like my motherland”, jointly organized by Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education and China Graduate Education Magazine has been recently held in Shangdong University. The conference aimed to strengthening media collaboration and help to foster character and civic virtue. The event with the theme of “ I am a Chinese graduate student, I like my motherland “was commended. The series of educational activities with the theme of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the motherland organized by the Graduate Party branch of SNAI were well received and won the Excellent Organization Award.
