SNAI graduate students win the Ninth Yang Jiwan Accounting Award in 2019

The winners of the Ninth Yang Jichen Accounting Award have been announced recently. The papers of six winners includes four accounting PhD dissertations and two accounting master degree theses. Among them, one of the SNAI outstanding master thesis titled "Research on the Assurance of XBRL Financial Reports -Taking the Dutch SBR Assurance Program as an example", which was written by Fang linna, SNAI graduate student of class of 2018 and supervised by SNAI Associate Professor Liu Meiling won the Excellent Master Thesis Award.

SNAI international students go to Guangxi for field study

The opening ceremony of the 2019 Graduate Forum of Guangxi University of Finance and Economics was held at the university on December 3. The faculties and senior leaders of the Accounting College of the university as well as SNAI international students and faculties attended the opening ceremony. The field study to Guangxi is one of the important integral part of the "Reading China" program for international students at SNAI. It aims to deepen the international students' understanding of China and help them learn and share china’s experience in development through lectures, field study around the topics such as poverty alleviation and regional cooperation, which could contribute to the capacity building and cooperation of B& R countries

CPA Australia delegation led by Mr. Ander He, Chief Executive Officer visits SNAI

The CPA Australia delegation led by Mr. Andrew Hunter, Global Chief Executive, Ms. Liang Huanqin, International Executive General Manager, and Ms. Gong Haoying, Director of East and Central China has visited SNAI recently. SNAI President Li Kouqing welcomed the guests and had a meeting with the delegation. The heads of the relevant departments of SNAI joined the meeting. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in areas such as talent training, curriculum development, professional research, and organizing big forums.

SNAI International students win the Second Prize of the Second International Business Simulation Competition

The final round of the Second International Business Simulation Competition has been recently held at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The competition is organized by CESIM, the Nordic international well-known simulation course platform. This competition is mainly for international students in China. Four SNAI international students from the Bahamas, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Nepal formed a team to join this competition under the guidance of Professor Cao Shengrong. Among nearly 30 teams, the SNAI team made it to the final competition, together with the other 10 teams. After the intense competition, SNAI team won the second prize in the finals.

Training workshop on Accounting Standards System for key personnel of Qinghai Provincial Government kicks off at SNAI

The opening ceremony of the training workshop on Accounting Standards System for key personnel of Qinghai Provincial Government joint with the signing ceremony of the strategic agreement between the Qinghai Provincial Department of Finance and the Shanghai National Accounting Institute were successfully held on December 10. Wang Peng, Deputy Director General of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Finance, and Liu qin, SNAI Vice President attended the opening ceremony and signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the two parties. Nearly 100 key accountants from administrative institutions at various levels in Qinghai Province participated in the training.

Training workshop on Public-Private Partnerships——Experience of China held in Nanning, China

The training course on Public-Private Partnership——Experience of China , jointly organized by SNAI (AFDI), China Public Private Partnerships Center(CPPPC) and the Economic and Finance Institute (EFI) of Cambodian Ministry of Finance and Economics has been recently held in Nanning city, China. More than 30 Cambodian provincial officials as well as local finance officials from Guangxi Province participated in the training. Mr. Nhean Leng, Deputy State Secretary of Cambodian Ministry of Finance and Economics, and SNAI Professor Dr. Peng Runzhong attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Vice President of the World Bank Group visits SNAI and gives a lecture

The Vice President and Comptroller of the World Bank Group, Jorge Familiar visited SNAI on December 11 and gave a lecture themed with “perspective on corporate governance, the future of financial management, and disruptive technology in the context of the current world economy environment”. The lecture was chaired by SNAI President Li Kouqing. All SNAI international students and participant of the executive programs as well as some faculty members attended the lecture.

Forum on the development of Chongqing CPA industry held successfully

The forum on the development of Chongqing CPA industry, co-sponsored by SNAI and the Chongqing CPA Association, organized by Jiangbeizui Finance and Economics, has been recently held in Chongqing. The forum, themed with "New Era, New Economy, New Development- CPA industry contributes to Chongqing's economic development and government governance”, aims to explore and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee, to fully demonstrate the professional capabilities of the CPA industry, to further strengthen the industry's communication with the government, enterprises, experts and scholars, etc., and to contribute to the economic development and national governance with fresh energy. More than 300 people from relevant government departments at the municipal and district levels in Chongqing, leaders of major enterprises in Chongqing, and leading accounting talents across the country attended the forum. Peng Yong, member of the Party Group and Chief Accountant of the Chongqing Finance Bureau as well as the relevant SNAI leaders attended the forum and delivered speeches.

SNAI organizes seminar on professional qualification of FAI Certificate (intermediate level)

The seminar on the syllabus of FAI certificate course was held at SNAI on December 8. A group of experts on professional qualification of FAI(Finance enabled by AI)  Certificate were invited to discuss the key takeaways of the second forum on intelligent finance, and the quality of FAI certificate. Hu Renyu, a professor at the Accounting Department of East China University of Science and Technology, Yu Yang, founder and CEO of Cloudpense, Jin Yuan, a professor of Shanghai University and several SNAI professors and teachers from the teaching and research department attended the seminar.

SNAI wins the National Excellent Teaching Case Award in the 5th Teaching Case Competition for Master of Finance

The National Graduate Education Steering Committee of Financial Professional Degree announced the winners of the 5th Teaching Case Competition for Master of Finance on December 10. The teaching case titled “Risk Management of Asset Securitization of Internet-based Consumption Finance Receivables -Take Jingdong Baitiao as an example" written by SNAI Associate  Professor  Wang Huaifang and the other case titled " Identification and Measurement of Systematic Risk in the Case of False Statement of Securities: a case study on Dazhihui" written by SNAI Associate Professor Ye Xiaojie won the National Excellent Teaching Case Award. It marks the first time that the SNAI has participated and got awards in a teaching case competition organized by the National Graduate Education Steering Committee of Financial Professional Degree since 2018 when SNAI was authorized to confer master’s degree in finance.

SNAI staff win the title of "Model Individuals in the Service Contest for Second Expo at Shanghai "

During the Second Import Expo, SNAI was responsible for the reception services of 350 national core trading groups, urban service support groups, and the front command of the Shanghai Armed Police Corps. Liu Daolin, deputy director of the logistics department of SNAI led the logistics service team to ensure all the reception services completed efficiently and effectively. He is awarded with the title of "Model Individuals in the Service Contest for Second Expo at Shanghai ".

First seminar on China-Central Asia Accounting Elite Exchange Program launched

The first seminar on China-Central Asian Accounting Elite Exchange Program, jointly sponsored by SNAI, CAREC Institute, ACCA was officially launched at SNAI on December 16. Nearly 30 participants from the accounting standards setting departments, accounting supervision departments and accounting sector of 11 CAREC member countries, including China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia attended the seminar. SNAI President Li Kouqing, Iskandar Abdullaev, deputy director of the CAREC Institute and Liang Shuping, director of ACCA Greater China attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

SNAI-ASU Collaborative Master of Accounting Program officially launched

The Master of Accounting program collaborated between SNAI and ASU has been officially launched recently. SNAI President Li Kouqing and the Associate Dean of W.P Carey Business School Ian Curtiss and the supervisor of Chouzhou Commercial Bank Zhu Zhengmin attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The participants of this cohort, all together 30 people have been especially selected by Chouzhou Commercial Banks. This master program is another collaborative program between the two universities, following the EMBA program. It is a two-year academic program and is a Sino-foreign collaborative program approved by the Ministry of Education.

SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin leads a delegation to Singapore and Australia for postgraduate training cooperation and exchanges

SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin led a team to Singapore and Australia to visit the Singapore Management University, National University of Singapore, University of Melbourne and Macquarie University from December 8-15. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on graduate education and joint training of graduate students.

The 2019 auditing training course for accounting firms with securities qualification was held at SNAI on December 17, which was jointly organized by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) and the Accounting Department of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Liang Liqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Li Haijun, deputy director of the Accounting Department of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. More than 230 people including the chief partners, technical and quality control partners of various accounting firms with securities qualification, and officials of the CSRC system and the CICPA system participated in the training.

Third training course for the general managers of Economic Community of Qingpu District successfully completed

Recently, the third training course for the general managers of Economic Communities of Qingpu District has been successfully completed at SNAI. The training aims to improve the comprehensive management ability of the leaders of economic communities, and to cultivate high-quality talents to meet the needs of Qingpu's modern economic development. The deputy general managers from 45 economic communities in the district participated in the training. The topics covered in the training include "macroeconomic situation analysis", "innovation and city management-Shanghai 2040 city planning", "regional industrial transformation", "industrial park operations and investment promotion”, etc.

2019 Training Program for Top 100 entrepreneurs of Qingpu District has recently kicked off at SNAI. SNAI has recently organized 2019 international students to visit Nantong, Jiangsu Province for field study of Chinese National Industry and Modern Manufacturing Development Experience as well as Chinese Tax System. The international students have been to Nantong Taxation Bureau, Dasheng Group, Luolai Home Textiles, Essence Pharmacy and other companies to learn about the experience of Chinese enterprises and financial development.

SNAI organizes 2019 third-party intermediary forum on performance management

The 2019 third-party intermediary forum on performance evaluation, sponsored by the government procurement and performance management research center of SNAI has been held at SNAI recently. The forum focused on the theme of expert role in performance management: position and action, discussing around the relevant documents and policies on performance management issued by the central government as well as the development of third-party intermediaries in the circle of performance management. More than 30 members from more than 30 service agencies nationwide participated in this forum.

In accordance with the Ministry of Finance's 2019 work plan of performance assessment, SNAI organized the annual leadership reporting meeting on their work and job integrity on January 3. SNAI President Li Kouqing first gave a briefing on the annual work of the SNAI leadership as well as his personal report on work and job integrity. SNAI Vice President Liu qin and Lu Wenbin as well as Assistant President Yi hongxun gave briefings on their work and job integrity subsequently. All staff member of SNAI attended this meeting.

SNAI organizes 2019 annual meeting on performance assessment of departments

SNAI organized the 2019 annual meeting on performance assessment of departments on January 2. The meeting, moderated by SNAI Vice President Liu Qin was attended by all the faculty as well as staff member. At the meeting, the heads of every departments introduced the overall work of their respective departments for 2019.  After the meeting, all employees submitted the score sheets of SNAI annual departmental assessment on site to evaluate the annual work of each department.

SNAI President, Professor Li Kouqing was invited to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province to give a lecture on "Thoughts on Enterprise Development in the New Economy" for the representatives of Jiangxi Expressway Group, financial institutions of Jiangxi Provinces as well as the local leading accounting talents. Nearly 200 people attended the lecture, which was moderated by Que Yong, Chief Financial Officer of Jiangxi Expressway Group.

SNAI organizes the special training on applying information thinking to work

In order to help SNAI faculty better understand the concept of information thinking and PMP, which could help to better guide the course instruction and project management, SNAI organized a special training on applying information thinking to work for all the faculty and staff on December 30. The training was moderated by SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin. Professor Wang Xin of Fudan University and the relevant personnel of the information department of SNAI were invited to give presentations on the topics of "how to reflect information thinking in the development of informationizaiton " and "the application of PMP concepts in project management" respectively.

SNAI organizes the kick-off meeting of “123" Excellent Growth Project for young employees

In order to empower young colleges to join hands to build an internationally renowned accounting institute, to commit themselves into the development of SNAI, SNAI has launched '123' Excellent Growth Project" for young employees since December 2019. The kick-off meeting was held on December 27. SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin delivered a speech to mobilize the young employees to actively participate in this project. Li Wei, official of the General Office of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee was invited to give a presentation to guide the young employees to carry out project research scientifically and systematically so as to achieve personal growth in career.
