The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, held from November 8-11, 2021, adopted the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century and the Resolution on convening the 20th CPC National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The press release, held on November 12, introduced the important spirits of the meeting. SNAI faculty and students have been following the meeting closely and learning its important ideas and spirits with great enthusiasm.
2021 training workshop for Export-Import Bank of China held
The 3-day training workshop for Export-Import Bank of China has been recently held, attracting a total of 50 participants from different line departments of the Bank. Gu Yingjie, deputy general manager of operation management department of Export-Import Bank of China and Lu Wenbin, SNAI vice president, attended the opening ceremony.
Leading Accounting Talents Program of Sichuan Province completed
The closing ceremony of the leading accounting talents program of Sichuan Province was held at SNAI on October 30, 2021. Zhang Gexing, SNAI vice president, attended the closing ceremony and gave remarks. A total of 55 participants from 49 sectors have completed about 60 sessions and participated in six social practices during the three-year study.
Online training workshop on work ethics of certified professional accountants of Macau held
The online training workshop on work ethics of certified professional accountants of Macau, co-sponsored by Macau Society of Certified Practicing Accountants and SNAI, co-organized by Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, was held on November 9, 2021,via Zoom, attracting a total of 200 Macau certified professional accountants. Song Deliang, SNAI associate professor, introduced the main content of China’s Code of Ethics for Certified Public Accountants published in 2020 and the relevant cases were discussed during the class.
SNAI organizes seminar on education for international students
The 2021 seminar on education for international students was held on November 12, 2021, at SNAI, also via video link at the same time. SNAI faculty including SNAI President Li Kouqing as well as the external professors attended the meeting to share their views on enhancing the international MPAcc program as well as the education quality for international students.
Postdoctoral student Geng Yanli completes her postdoctoral research
Postdoctoral student Geng Yanli, jointly trained at SNAI postdoctoral research station and the postdoctoral research station of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, passed the postdoc thesis defense and successfully completed her study as a postdoctoral fellow on November 2, 2021. Supervised by Professor Li Kouqing, she has conducted a series of research and published a few papers during her postdoctoral fellowship.
Online meeting held between SNAI and ICAEW
SNAI President Li Kouqing had an online meeting with William Brooks, ICAEW President on November 8, 2021. SNAI faculty and staff representatives as well as ICAEW senior staff also joined the meeting. Both sides had in-depth discussion on building strong work ethics of accountants, developing platform and conducting further cooperation.
Interim research result presentation of the PhD candidates of accounting held
The interim research result presentation of the PhD candidates of accounting was held on November 12, 2021. Liu Qin, SNAI vice president, Professor Zhu Kai, vice dean of the school of accounting of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Professor Gu Zhaoyang with the school of accountancy of Chinese University of Hong Kong as well as the PhD supervisors, the post-doctoral fellows and graduate students joined this presentation session, given by five PhD candidates jointly trained by SNAI and SUFE. They all shared with audience their respective research areas and research progress.
SNAI Vice President Liu Qin gives a lecture to SNAI graduate students
The 39th SNAI Youth Forum was held on November 4, 2021, where SNAI Vice President Liu Qin gave a lecture on how the CPC membership dues become institutionalized and improved to 2021 SNAI graduate students.
SNAI president Li Kouqing receives the 5th China Publishing Government Award
The winners of 5th China Publishing Government Award have been announced recently. The book titled History of Chinese Economic Development (1600BC-2019) won the 5th China Publishing Government Award. SNAI president Li Kouqing, as one of the co-authors, also received the honorary certificate.
SNAI organizes the wrap-up presentation meeting of “123 Growth Excellence” Project
SNAI organized the wrap-up presentation meeting of “123 Growth Excellence” Project on November 4, 2021, A total of 47 young staff of nine teams participated in the event, giving presentation on topics such as faculty capacity building, MPAcc education, integrity culture nurturing, etc. The judging panel including the SNAI president, vice presidents as well as the head of all departments rated the performance of all teams.
Research results of SNAI faculty adopted by the treasury department of Ministry of Finance
The treasury department of Ministry of Finance sent the letter with the approval of application of research result to SNAI on November 3, 2021. SNAI professor Zhang hui has given his advice from legal perspective and provided the detailed recommendations with regard to the Regulations for the management of procurement methods and framework agreement of government procurement (draft for comments), which offered effective references to the treasury department to finetune the Regulation.
SNAI Oral History of Accounting Project highly recognized at the International Oral History Week
The seventh China International Oral History Week, sponsored by Communication University of China, was held online during November 5-6. SNAI’s oral history of accounting project was the only one that both included at the sessions of Oral History Night and the international seminar on oral history. It was highly recognized by the audience and the experts in the field. This project was also recognized as the Project the Year 2021 by the China Oral History Week.
SNAI volunteers serve for the 4th CIIE
The fourth China International Import Exhibition was held during November 4-11,2021. SNAI volunteer team of 41 people including SNAI staff and students, working in two shifts, provided volunteer services for the CIIE from November 3 to 6 with a total of 300 working hours.
Third postgraduate students case competition successfully concluded
The final of the 3rd Postgraduate Students Case Competition, cosponsored by Beijing National Accounting Institute, Shanghai National Accounting Institute and Xiamen National Accounting Institute, was held at SNAI on November 26, 2021. Wu Xiangyun, deputy director general of accounting department of Ministry of Finance, Qin Rongsheng, BNAI president, Li Kouqing, SNAI president, and SNAI vice presidents, Huang Jingjing, XNAI vice president as well as the expert panel, the participating teams and supervisors attended the closing ceremony. SNAI teams won the first prize and third prize.
SNAI organizes 9th annual forum on management accounting
The 9th annual forum on management accounting, sponsored by SNAI, co-organized by Inspur group, Yonyou company, Yuanian technology, YGsoft, was held on November 18, 2021, attracting more than 12000 online and onsite participants altogether. The forum themed with management accounting empowering low-carbon development explores the role of management accounting in better providing solutions and effective tools for low-carbon development. Li Kouqing, SNAI president, moderated the forum and gave keynote speech. Zhang Weiguo, former board member of IASB, Professor Wang Liyan with Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, Professor Song Xianzhong with Jinan University, Zhang Shaofeng, chief accounting officer of SINOPEC, Zhu Qinfeng, chief accounting officer of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, Wang Xingshan, executive president of Inspur Group, Professor Alan Parkinson with University College London were invited to participate in the panel discussion. This event was widely covered by local and national media.
Huajin Securities and SNAI jointly organize nonprofit training course
The online training workshop on financial securities and rural rejuvenation, cosponsored by Huajin securities and SNAI, was held on November 16, 2021, attracting a total of 200 participants from ten cities of Guangxi, Hei Longjiang and Anhui provinces. Song Weidong, chairman of the board of directors of Huajin Securities, Li Kouqing, SNAI president, attended this opening ceremony of this workshop and gave opening ceremony.
Online training of leading accounting talents program of Leqing city (Private Sector Track) held
With the joint efforts of the finance bureau of Leqing city and SNAI, the third training of the second cohort of the leading accounting talents program of Leqing city was held online during November 21-25, 2021.
Strategic cooperation agreement signed between Inspur Group and SNAI
The strategic cooperation agreement between Inspur Group and SNAI was signed on November 17, 2021.Both sides will further broaden and deepen the cooperation in many areas, such as theoretic research and case research, intelligent finance, management accounting, digital transformation of finance, talents training, collaborated teaching, etc. Li Kouqing, SNAI president, Wang Xingshan, executive president of Inspur Group and other senior officials of both organizations attended the signing ceremony.
SNAI president Li Kouqing invited to sit on the Shanghai Data Transaction Expert Panel
The launch of the Shanghai Data Exchange joint with the Global Data Ecosystem Conference 2021 was held on November 25,2021. Gong Zheng, mayor of Shanghai, attended the launch and unveiled the SDE. Li Kouqing, SNAI president was assigned to sit on the Shanghai Data Transaction Expert Panel. He was also invited to give a keynote speech at the conference.
Training for newly recruited staff held
The training for SNAI newly recruited staff was held on November 19, 2021. All of the staff who have joined SNAI within three years attended the training. Two SNAI staff were invited to share their secondment experiences at the Ministry of Finance and the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office with the audience. Li Kouqing, SNAI president and Zhang Gexing, SNAI vice president both attended the training.
