According to the latest policy of themunicipal government of Shanghai, SNAI started full resumption of work from July4. All staff were required to go back to office to work. The training programsincluding degree programs and short-term trainings continued to be held online.Strict on-campus pandemic control and prevention measures continued to beimplemented. More efforts have been put to improve risk screening scope and regularroutine of daily PRC test on campus. SNAI will strive to achieve fullresumption of work and continue to work for the high-quality development of theinstitute.
Commencement ceremony for class of 2022 ofpostgraduates held at SNAI
The commencement ceremony for the class of2022 of postgraduates was held via video link on June 26. Professor Liu Qin, SNAI vice president,attended the event and delivered a speech. He announced the decision of SNAIDegree Evaluation Committee at the ceremony, and gave honorary commendations tooutstanding graduates, national scholarships winners, outstanding dissertationwinners, and winners of SNAI special scholarships. Professor Lu Wenbin, SNAI vicepresident, faculty representatives and the graduating classes, attended theceremony.
SNAI and the SASAC (Shanghai State owned AssetsSupervision and Administration Commission) jointly organize Shanghai SOEDigital Risk Control Forum
The Shanghai SOE Digital Risk Control Forum,jointly sponsored by SASAC and SNAI, and co-organized by Shanghai Kingdee andShanghai Mingyao Information Technology, was successfully held online on June24. This is the first forum cosponsored by SNAI and the SASAC. SNAI VicePresident Bai Xiaohong attended the forum and delivered a speech. Zhang Jian,head of the Informatization Division of SASAC, Shang Xiaofang, head of theFinancial Evaluation Division of SASAC, Huang Tan, director of ShanghaiResearch Center for the Reform and Development of State-owned Assets and Stateowned Enterprises, Huang Jingyi, deputy director of the Center, and otherofficials and experts attended the forum. The event was also simultaneouslybroadcasted through the live broadcast platform, attracting more than 6000people to watch.
SNAI international students of 2020 class attendthe seminar on the protection of China's intangible cultural heritage
The online lecture on China's Intangible CulturalHeritage Protection from an International Perspective was held for SNAIinternational students of 2020 class on July 7. Dr. Fang Yun at ShanghaiUniversity, Chinese trainer of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection ofIntangible Cultural Heritage introduced the basic concept and developmentprocess of the world's intangible cultural heritage, and shared China'sworld-class intangible cultural heritage and best practices in the protectionof intangible cultural heritage from the perspective of international culturalexchanges.
SNAI releases 17th Business Climate Index(Accounting Version)
According to the data collected from 1025financial and accounting personnel who have good understanding of the financial situation ofenterprises, the Accounting Information Survey Center of SNAI and ESNAI jointlyreleased the 17th Business Climate Index (Accounting Version). Theresults show that the business climate index in the first half of 2022 is 88.1(relatively depressed); The index in the second half of 2022 is 99.22 (weakrecession). The survey reflects the business operation of the voter'senterprise in the first half of 2022, and the voter's forecast of the operationof the enterprise in the second half of 2022. The Business Climate Index(Accounting Version) is a survey to understand the economic operation from themicro level of enterprises based on the information and personal judgment of theaccounting practitioners, jointly initiated by the Accounting InformationSurvey Center of SNAI and ESNAI. This survey has been conducted semiannuallysince July 2014.
First cohort of MOF training workshop on high-level financial and accounting talents capacity building program (for partners of accounting firms) held
The first cohort of MOF training workshop onhigh-level financial and accounting talents capacity building program (forpartners of accounting firms) was held in Zhejiang city of Jiangsu Province onJuly 20. Shu Huihao, executive vice president of the CICPA, Li Zailin,first-level inspector of the Jiangsu financial burau, Wang Dong, deputydirector of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, and BaiXiaohong, SNAI vice president, attended the opening and delivered speeches. WanWenxiang, deputy secretary general of CICPA hosted the opening ceremony.
Outreach training program of CICPA (Guangxi)successfully held
Commissioned by CICPA, SNAI organized the outreachtraining program of CICPA (Guangxi) online during July 11-15. Nine seniorexperts with rich practical experience and theoretical knowledge, including theofficials of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, andhigh-level talents in the CPA industry were invited to give lectures at thetraining. More than 300 CPAs and assistants from various accounting firms inGuangxi attended the training.
Online training workshop on auditing practices ofShanghai Science and Technology Program Funds held
In order to effectively promote the management andauditing of special funds for science and technology projects and strive toimprove the professional capacities of the financial and asset managementpersonnel, the online training on auditing practices of Shanghai Science andTechnology Program Funds was held on July 18. More than 400 personnel from the ShanghaiScience and Technology Commission and its subordinate institutions participatedin the training. Li Jing, director of the Resources Assurance and ManagementDivision of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the headsof SNAI training department attended the opening of the online workshop.
SNAI faculty win the 15th Outstanding Awardin Philosophy and Social Sciences of Shanghai
Recently, after reviewed by the Committee forOutstanding Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Shanghai, 150 paperswere awarded the 15th Outstanding Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences. Thearticle titled with China's Accounting Informatization in the 40 Years ofReform and Opening up: Review and Outlook", written by SNAI Professor LiuQin and Associate Professor Yang Yin, won the second prize award of theacademic achievements.
SNAI research project wins the ExcellentGrade in the evaluation of the completed ministerial and provincialco-sponsored projects in 2021
Recently, the outcome of the ministerial andprovincial co-sponsored projects in 2021 have been approved and recognized. Theexperts and scholars of the review committee conducted a standard review fromsix perspectives including theoretical value, practical significance,international experience, policy recommendations, research innovativeness aswell as language and logic of the research. A total of five projects withExcellent Grade and ten projects with Good Grade were given. The research projecton Comparative Analysis of Social Security Expenditure Based on Historical andCountry Specific Perspectives undertaken by Dr. Li Xinning of SNAI was rated asExcellent Grade.

The Shenzhen Institute of Certified PublicAccountants initiated the research project on high-level talents training forCPAs. The SNAI research project on high-level talents training for ShenzhenInstitute of CPA, led by SNAI Vice President. The project won the ExcellentAward due to the broad applicability and strong feasibility. It offeredreasonable solutions to develop high level talents training system for theShenzhen Institute of CPA.
Consultation meeting on the development ofOnline SNAI Platform held
The consultation meeting on the developmentof Online SNAI Platform was held on July 20. The bid winner of the project,Jiangsu Jinzhi Education Co., Ltd., and SNAI exchanged ideas on the consultingservices for the development of Online SNA Platform as well as issues relatedto contract signing. SNAI Vice President Liu Qin, Vice President Zhang Gexing, theheads of the SNAI Information Department as well as Zhang Shuguang, DeputyGeneral Manager of Jiangsu Jinzhi Education Co., Ltd., Zhang Meimei, GeneralManager of Shanghai Branch, and Wang Rui, Consulting Director, attended themeeting.
Workshop on core capacity building forentrepreneurs of Qingpu district held
The opening of the online workshop on corecapacity building for entrepreneurs of Qingpu district was held on July 26.SNAI Vice President Lu Wenbin, attended the opening and delivered a speech.Tang Jinlong, director of the Office of the Coordination Group for VocationalTraining of Enterprise Employees in the Qingpu District and Dong Min, deputydirector of the Economic Commission of Qingpu District of Shanghai, attendedthe event. After strict selection in the early stage, senior executives frommore than 40 leading enterprises in Qingpu District, such as Shanghai Jiahua (Group),Orian Group and Shanghai Sine WANXIANG Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., were selectedto participate in the training.

The delegation of Shanghai University ofFinance and Economics, led by Wang Shaofei, assistant to the dean of School of Managementof SUFE, visited SNAI on July 25 to discuss the following topics, the operationof jointly collaborated program with overseas universities, full-time graduateeducation program and open courses. Both sides also had in-depth discussion onthe experiences and the practices of integrated system of budget management.
Seven SNAI director-level officialsparticipate in the capacity building workshop
In order to improve the professional competencyas well as overall capacities of the newly appointed director-level officials,the personnel department of the Ministry of Finance organized the onlinecapacity building workshop for newly appointed officials during May 23-Junly 3.A total of seven directors from SNAI joined this training. Li Xinning, deputydirector of the Department of Graduate Education won the Outstanding ParticipantAward due to her excellent performance at the workshop.
