The delegation of International Economics and Finance Institute visited SNAI

The delegation from the International Economics and Finance Institute, ledby its director Yang Yingming, who is also the Director General of the Ministryof Finance's International Economy Department, and Zhang Minwen, theInstitute's Deputy Director, visited SNAI on March 1. Zhang Feng, PartySecretary of SNAI and vice presidents including Lu Wenbin and Bai Xiaohong,participated in the discussion and exchange, together with the heads of SNAI'skey departments. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement regarding theactivities of the Asian Evaluation Week 2023 and engaged in in-depthdiscussions regarding how to better utilize their respective resources andadvantages within the framework of the cooperation agreement and how to carryout effective cooperation in terms of subject research, capacity building,knowledge sharing, and information exchange.

SNAI organized a special seminar on publicity activities for 2023

On February 28, 2023, SNAI hosted a seminar on publicity activities for2023.  SNAI vice president Bai Xiaohong moderatedthe meeting, which was attended by Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI; LuWenbin, and Zhang Gexing, vice presidents of SNAI. The focus of the meeting wason SNAI media promotion, information reporting work, and annual criticalpublicity topics.

SNAI organized a working meeting on informatization and network security

On February 28, SNAI held a meeting on informatization and networksecurity. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, and vice presidents Lu Wenbin,Bai Xiaohong, and Zhang Gexing were present at the meeting. At the meeting werealso the department heads, members of the digitalization working group, and allinformation department staff. Participants discussed, among other topics,network security responsibility, information technology construction, anddigital transformation.

Training workshop on Rural Revitalization for Yongsheng County was held atSNAI

On March 5, a training workshop on professional capacity building forfinancial and accounting personnel of Lijiang City was held at SNAI in order tofurther consolidate and expand the results of poverty alleviation, continue topromote the development of poverty-stricken areas, and undertake acomprehensive rural revitalization. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, and LiZiqiang, Deputy Director of the Lijiang finance bureau, attended and deliveredremarks at the opening ceremony. Zhang Feng also delivered a lecture onenhancing financial and accounting oversight.

CFFE Training workshop on Institutional Service and Risk Management was heldat SNAI

China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFE) and SNAI conducted a workshop on InstitutionalService and Risk Management on March 1. Ye Chunhe, Chairman of the CFFE'sSupervisory Board, and Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of the SNAI, deliveredspeeches at the opening ceremony. This is the first time SNAI and ChinaFinancial Futures Exchange have collaborated. Both parties will investigate theconcept of financial risk management for global competition, promote thedevelopment of top-tier talent in the financial futures market, and collaborateto promote the high-quality growth of China's financial futures market.

SNAI faculty was elected as the Delegate to the 16th Youth League Congress of Shanghai Municipality

On March 3, Li Xinning, Secretary of the YouthLeague Committee of SNAI, was elected as a delegate to the 16th Shanghai Municipality Youth League Congress. As one of the 28 municipal organs systemrepresentatives, she will attend the 16th Congress of the Communist YouthLeague of China in the second part of April in Shanghai.

Three SNAIpostgraduates won the third prize of the 19th China Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition

The results of the19th China Graduate Student Mathematical Modeling Competition were recentlyannounced, and the team of three SNAI postgraduate students earned the thirdprize, while Hu Qing won the Participation Prize. China PostgraduateMathematical Modeling Competition is one of the theme events of the"National Graduate Student Innovation and Practice Series"co-sponsored by the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of theMinistry of Education and the Youth Science and Technology Center of ChinaAssociation for Science and Technology. SNAI firmly encourages and supportsgraduate students' participation in a variety of disciplinary competitions bothdomestically and internationally in order to stimulate graduate students'passion for innovation and practice and to vastly enhance their capacity toidentify, analyze, and solve practical problems.

The first cohort of Finance Personnel Training for Sinochem was held at SNAI

On March 27, SNAI hosted the first cohort ofFinance Personnel Training for Sinochem. Li Fuli, deputy general manager andchief accountant, Chen Shumin, deputy chief accountant and director of theFinance Department, and Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, attended anddelivered speeches at the opening ceremony. This training is the firstcentralized training for financial personnel following the merger of the twocompanies. It is also the first time that SNAI and Sinochem have collaboratedon short training courses. Both parties will collaborate in a number of areas,including special investigations, subject research, and talent cultivation.

The Third Batch of Leading Asset Appraisal Talents Training Program was completed

SNAI hosted the closing ceremony for the third cohort of the Leading AssetAppraisal Talents Training Program on March 22. Zhang Gexing, Vice President ofSNAI, and Yang Songtang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the ChinaAppraisal Society, both attended the ceremony and delivered remarks. 52students were granted the title "Top-tier Talents in the Asset AppraisalIndustry," and 10 students were recognized for their outstanding theses.Since the beginning of the development of top talent in the asset appraisal industryin 2016, 154 students have been chosen and effectively completed the program.

A strategic cooperation agreement signed between the Pacific Insurance Group and SNAI

On March 29 in Shanghai, SNAI and China Pacific Insurance (Group) Companysigned a strategic cooperation agreement. Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI,and Shi Jian, General Manager of Pacific Anxin Agricultural Insurance Co., Ltd.signed the cooperation agreement. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, and YuBin, Vice President of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd., signed thestrategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties. The two partieswill engage in in-depth cooperation in the areas of talent training, think tankresearch, forums, and seminars, and will endeavor to promote cooperation andexchange among tax and financial talent of the highest caliber, as well as toadvance the progress and development of both parties. The event was witnessedby the relevant business and department heads of both parties.

Seminar on the Development of Policy Financing Guarantee Fund forShanghai's Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (2023 Edition) was held at SNAI

On March 15, SNAI hosted a seminar on the Development of Policy FinancingGuarantee Fund for Shanghai's Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (2023Edition). It was sponsored by the Research Center for Policy Finance andIndustrial Development of SNAI and the Management Center of Shanghai's Micro,Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises Policy Financing Guarantee Fund. Zhang Feng,Party Secretary of the SNAI and Director of the Research Center, attended andspoke at the meeting.

The delegation of Chongqing University of Technology visited SNAI

The eight-member Chongqing University of Technology delegation, led by vicepresident He Jianguo, visited SNAI on March 20. The vice president of SNAI, LuWenbin, and the heads of relevant SNAI departments conferred with thedelegation. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions regardingprofessional master's degree cultivation, Chinese-foreign cooperativeeducation, high-level training programs, teaching and research, scientificresearch management, high-level forums, and alumni development.

Recently, Dr. Zhong Shihu of SNAI received an invitation from the Editorial Board of Journal of Natural Sciencesof Hunan Normal University (Chinese Core Journal of Peking University),Editorial Board of Fiscal Studies (CSSCI Source Journal) and Fiscal Science(Extended Source Journal of CSSCI) to serve as a member of the First YouthEditorial Board of Journal of Natural Sciences of Hunan Normal University(three years' tenure from Jan. 2023 to Dec. 2025), as well as universitycorrespondent of Fiscal Studies and Fiscal Science (three years' tenure fromFeb. 2023 to Feb. 2026).
