Dr. Lu Wenbin was appointed as Presidentof SNAI, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SNAI, and Director Generalof Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute by the Ministry of Finance

On April 3, a general conference was heldat SNAI to announce Dr. Lu Wenbin's appointment. Peng Hua, Director General ofthe Ministry of Finance's Department of Personnel and Education, spoke duringthe meeting. Peng Hua announced the Ministry of Finance's decision to nominateDr. Lu Wenbin as President of the Shanghai National Accounting Institute,Deputy Secretary of the SNAI Party Committee, and Director General of theAsia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute.

SNAI organized the meeting themobilize the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism withChinese Characteristics in the New Era

On April 12, SNAI convened ameeting to mobilize the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's Thought onSocialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. Zhang Feng, SNAI PartySecretary, delivered the speech, emphasizing the importance of closely focusingon SNAI's main business such as high-end talent training, new think tankconstruction, international exchanges and cooperation, constantly optimizingthe curriculum system and education mode, and promoting the SNAI's high-qualitydevelopment with new reform and development achievements, and assisting financeto play a better role as an important pillar in national governance.

SNAIorganized a meeting for the Party Committee Learning Group

In order to study and implement thespirit of the 20th CPC National Party Congress and the National People'sCongress, SNAI organized a meeting for the Party Committee Learning Group onMarch 31 and invited Dr. Yang Changcheng, member of the National Committee ofthe Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Chief Economistof Shenyin Wanguo Securities, Shanghai, to give a lecture on "ChineseModernization on a New Course." This is also the first lecture in a newlycreated series on Chinese modernity, which has attracted approximately 10,000faculty members and alumni both online and in person.

Director of the Ministry ofFinance's Department of Personnel and Education, Peng Hua, visited ShanghaiNational Accounting Institute (SNAI) on 3 April for field research. He engagedin a discussion and dialogue with members of the SNAI party committee regardingreform and development, as well as the obstacles encountered.

SNAI organized a lecture on"How to do a good job in financial information reporting"

In order to further strengthen thefinancial information reporting of SNAI to effectively inform thedecision-making, policy advocacy, etc., SNAI organized a lecture on how to do agood job in financial information reporting on April 10.  Yi Jianhua, deputy director of the Ministryof Finance, was invited to give a lecture for SNAI faculty and staff. Thelecture was hosted by by Dr. Lu Wenbin, SNAI President. More than 50 facultymembers from various departments attended the lecture.

Preparation meeting for 2023 MOFNational Accounting Professional Qualification Examination was held at SNAI

On April 13, the SNAI hosted apreparation meeting for the 2023 MOF National Accounting Professional andTechnical Qualification Examination. A total of 80 accounting authorities fromvarious regions participated. Lin Qiyun, Director of the Ministry of Finance'sAccounting and Financial Evaluation Centre, and Li Shouzhong, Deputy Directorof the Centre, as well as Gao Daping, Deputy Director of the Ministry ofFinance's Accounting Department, attended the meeting. The conference was heldto plan administrative matters for the 2023 National Accounting ProfessionalQualification Examination.

Training workshop on financialmanagement for Shandong Province Education System was held at SNAI

On April 2, SNAI organized theadvanced finance management training program for Shandong Province'seducational system. The opening event was attended by Zhang Gexing, vicepresident of SNAI, Qi Lu, director of the finance division of the ShandongProvincial Education Bureau Finance, and Hu Yuanmu, president of theAssociation of Educational Accounting. The program was attended by about 280vice presidents and directors of the finance departments of Shandong Province'suniversities.

International Students attended the lectureon finance and economics

On April 7, Zhang Minwen, Deputy Directorof the International Economics and Finance Institute of the Ministry ofFinance, was invited by SNAI to give a lecture to SNAI's internationalstudents. With the theme of "International Background and DevelopmentTrend of ESG", the lecture comprehensively introduced the concept of ESG,disclosure of ESG information and the international situation of the threemajor areas of environment, society and governance, and aimed to help theinternational students better understand China's development model and conceptsand broaden their research horizons. The lecture was well received by theinternational students. They expressed positive opinions about the Belt andRoad Initiative and interactively exchanged views on Chinese modernization andcorporate ESG practices.

SNAI organized Spring Campus Run activity

SNAI organized the Spring Campus Run onMarch 31. The campus run began at the International Conference Centre andcovered a distance of 4.5 km, completing two laps around campus. Nearly 100faculty and students participated in the event. Zheng Peng, Party Secretary ofSNAI and Bai Xiaohong, Vice President of SNAI, also participated in the event.

Yang Guozhong, accompanied by Li Xiaoyong,inspected SNAI's teaching and research facilities and campus construction, hada discussion and exchange with SNAI's members of the party committee aboutSNAI's overall governance, as well as the status of reform and development.

Training workshop on Supervision ofFinance and Accounting of Judicial Administration System 2023 was launched

In order to carry out the spirit of the20th National Congress, and promote the modernization of the Chinese style, thetraining workshop on Supervision of Finance and Accounting of JudicialAdministration System, commissioned by the Equipment and Financial SecurityBureau of the Ministry of Justice, was launched on April 24. Meng Xianjun,Director of the Equipment and Financial Security Bureau of the Ministry ofJustice, and Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, attended the opening ceremonyand delivered speeches. More than 100 particpants from the judicialadministrative system attending the opening ceremony.

Training workshop for China FinancialFutures Exchange 2023 was held at SNAI

China FinancialFutures Exchange (CFFEX) and SNAI held a training workshop on financial futuresserving the real economy for CFFE 2023 members from April 10to 14. ShengChunhong, Deputy Director General of CFFEX, Mo Wangui, Deputy Director of theInstitute of Financial Research of the People's Bank of China, and Zhang Feng,Party Secretary of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony and presented awards tothe members who received the title of "Outstanding Financial FuturesAnalysts Team" of CFFEX in 2022. The training focused on how financialfutures can better serve the real economy and was attended by 47 financialfutures professionals from 33 CFFEX member institutions.

Training workshop on improving the qualityand capacity of middle and senior management of China Agricultural DevelopmentBank (Shaanxi Branch) was held at SNAI

On April 17, the Shaanxi Branch of theChina Agricultural Development Bank and SNAI jointly organized a trainingworkshop to improve the competence of middle and senior management at the ChinaAgricultural Development Bank (Shaanxi Branch). SNAI President Lu Wenbin, VicePresident Wan Zhengxiang of the China Agricultural Development Bank (ShaanxiBranch), and Party Committee Member Zhou Chunfeng of the China AgriculturalDevelopment Bank (Shaanxi Branch) also attended the opening event. The programwas attended by 41 participants, middle and senior management leaders, as wellas managers from the provincial and municipal branches of the AgriculturalDevelopment Bank of China Shaanxi Branch.

The outreach support training forPingjiang County in Hunan Province has continued to be carried out by SNAI inorder to further expand and consolidate the results of poverty eradication, aswell as to continue to promote the development of poverty-stricken areas andthe comprehensive revitalization of the countryside. The training workshop onhigh quality development of finance in Pingjiang country was launched in Xi’ancity. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI was invited give a lecture on furtherstrengthening the oversight of finance and accounting. 

Training workshop for Office Directors andFinance Staff of the National Overseas Chinese Federation System kicked off

The raining workshop for Office Directorsand Financial Staff of Overseas Chinese Federation of China was successfullyheld at SNAI on April 25, attracting more than 100 participants. Chen Mai,Secretary General and Director of the General Office of Overseas ChineseFederation, Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, Xu Dazhen, Vice Chairman of ShanghaiOverseas Chinese Federation, and Liu Hong, Deputy Director of the GeneralOffice of Overseas Chinese Federation, attended the opening ceremony.

The 7th cohort of Leading AccountingTalent Training Program of Hubei Province was launched

The seventh cohort of Hubei Province'sLeading Accounting Talent Training Program was hosted by SNAI on April 17.During the opening ceremony, both Song Xia, the Hubei Provincial FinanceBureau's head accountant, and Zhang Gexing, SNAI vice president, gave speeches.Ni Sha, deputy general manager and financial controller at Liantou PropertyCo., spoke on behalf of the group.  60participants from major corporations, large and medium-sized businesses,administrative entities, accounting firms, and accounting teaching and researchunits from around the province were admitted to the program after a thoroughassessment and selection process.

The 6th cohort of Shaanxi Province'sLeading Accounting Talent Training Program (enterprise track) held

The sixth cohort of the Leading AccountingTalents Training Program of Shaanxi Province was held at SNAI on April 17. HanLei, director of the Accounting Department of Shaanxi Provincial Tax Bureau, LuKe Ping, deputy director of the Accounting Department of Shaanxi Provincial TaxBureau, and Zhang Gexing, vice president of SNAI, attended the opening eventand delivered speeches. 63 students from large and medium-sized businesses inthe province and central government enterprise units in Shaanxi province wereadmitted to the program after a rigorous examination and selection process forthe sixth cohort, which will run for three years.

Forum on Hospital Intelligent OperationManagement and High-Quality Development was launched

The First Hospital Affiliated to theUniversity of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and SNAI jointly sponsoredthe "Forum on Intelligent Operation Management and High-QualityDevelopment of Hospitals," which was held successfully in Hefei, AnhuiProvince on April 22. Professor Lu Wenbin, president of the SNAI, spoke at theforum along with Cheng Min, the director of the finance division of the AnhuiProvincial Health Commission, Cao Liqing, the chief accountant of the firsthospital affiliated with the University of Science and Technology of China(USTC), Zhou Jianjun, the chief accountant of the first people's hospital ofShanghai, Wang Chunju, chief accountant of the second hospital of west Chinaaffiliated with Sichuan University, Xia Peiyong, Chief Accountant of ShanghaiSixth People's Hospital, and Chen Zhijun, Chief Accountant of the ShanghaiChildren's Medical Centre Affiliated to the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Discussionshave been held on the intelligent operation and management of the hospital to enablehigh-quality development.

Delegation of American Institute of ManagementAccountants (IMA) visited SNAI

Li Gang, vice president and chiefrepresentative of the China region of the American Institute of ManagementAccountants (IMA), and Zhang Lin, director of development and cooperation forthe East China region, visited SNAI on April 17. The delegation and SNAIPresident Lu Wenbin conducted a meeting. Both parties discussed their priorcooperation and indicated a desire to continue exploring and working togetherin areas such as international exchange, topic research, professional forums,etc. in order to cooperatively support the growth of the sector.

Working meeting oncampus security was held at SNAI

The campus security working meeting was heldon April 26 to implement the Ministry of Finance's requirements on securitymatters during the vacations, further improve security awareness, andstrengthen campus security management. SNAI President Lu Wenbin moderated themeeting and made remarks. Relevant departments reported on campus securityissues, and participants discussed in depth how to further strengthencampus security work.
