The closing ceremony of the second cohort of Leading Accounting TalentsTraining Program of Jinan city (Enterprise track) was held at SNAI on May 7,which was attended by Bai Xiaohong, Vice President of SNAI, Ding Guochun,deputy director of Jinan Finance Bureau, Wang Ling, director of AccountingDepartment of Jinan Finance Bureau, and Li Li, deputy director of Accounting Departmentof the Bureau. Certificates of completion were awarded to the participantsafter a review of the four-year intensive training program.

Training workshop for principal accountants and financial officers ofDaqing Oilfield kicked off

On May 5, 2023, the opening ceremony of the training workshop for principalaccountants and financial officers of Daqing Oilfield was held at SNAI.  Liang Ning, Chief Accountant of DaqingOilfield Limited Liability Company, and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI,attended the opening event and delivered speeches. Xiong Wei, Chief Accountantof the Second Oil Production Plant of Daqing Oilfield Limited LiabilityCompany, moderated the event and Liu Hongliang, Deputy Director of the FundSettlement Center, spoke as a representative of the class. 

Online Meeting between SNAI and the Independent Evaluation Department ofthe Asian Development Bank was held

On May 8, Lu Wenbin, President of SNAI, was invited to an online meetingwith Emmanuel Jimenez, Director of the Asian Development Bank's IndependentEvaluation Department. Both sides briefly reviewed and highly affirmed previousachievements in promoting regional development performance evaluation capacitybuilding around Asian Evaluation Week, Shanghai International DevelopmentEvaluation Training Program (SHIPDET), and other brand cooperation projects,and fully exchanged views and reached a preliminary consensus on the two sides'efforts to further strengthen cooperation, actively push forward the Asian EvaluationWeek. A preliminary agreement was achieved.

ACCA delegation led by CEO Ms. Helen Brand visited SNAI

On May 12, a six-member ACCA team led by CEO HelenBrand paid a visit to SNAI. The delegation was met by Lu Wenbin, President ofSNAI, and Bai Xiaohong, Vice President of SNAI, as well as staff from other keydepartments within SNAI. The two sides engaged in-depth discussions andexchanged perspectives on worldwide talent development, professional research,and forum cooperation.

The delegation of Inspur Group visited SNAI

The five-member delegation from Inspur Group, led by Vice President WeiDaisen, visited SNAI on May 10. Lu Wenbin, president of SNAI, and Liu Qin,director of the Institute of Intelligent Finance, met with the delegation. Thetwo sides jointly reviewed the comprehensive cooperation results achieved sincethe signing of the strategic cooperation agreement in 2016 in various fieldssuch as academic research, forum organization, talent building and brandpromotion, and began in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in talentbuilding in the areas of professional research, faculty development, case studywriting and on-site teaching base development.

Delegation of China Chemical Engineering Group visited SNAI for cooperationin training

On May 11, a delegation from the China Chemical Engineering Group,including Liu Dongjin, the group's chief accountant, Song Zhipeng, thedepartment's deputy manager of finance and capital, and Zhang Zhenlian, thedivision's general manager of business, paid a visit to SNAI. Vice President ofSNAI Zhang Gexing met with the delegation. After a discussion, both partiesagreed to work together to advance professional talent empowerment andinternationalized finance and accounting talent training.

SNAI was successfully selected as the continuing education trainingservice provider for accounting professional of Jiangxi Province for the firsttime

According to the official notification on bidding projects made onMay 6, SNAI has been successfully shortlisted for the first time as thecontinuing education training service providers for accounting personnel inJiangxi Province. This tender was fought for by eleven online education serviceproviders. SNAI distinguished out among bidders and was ultimately chosen asthe highest-scoring continuing education training service provider foraccounting professionals in Jiangxi Province.

Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, was invited to attend the 8th AnnualMeeting of the Board of Governors of the New Development Bank (NDB)

The eighth annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the New DevelopmentBank (NDB) was held in Shanghai on May 30. Ding Xuexiang, member of the StandingCommittee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premierof the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech;Dilma Rousseff, President of the NDB, attended the meeting and delivered aspeech; Chinese Finance Minister Liu Kun, accompanied by vice finance ministerWang Dongwei , attended the opening ceremony as the Chairman of the Board ofGovernors and delivered a speech. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, was invitedto attend the meeting.

SNAI organized the annual commendation meeting of the Communist YouthLeague in commemoration of 104th Anniversary of the May Fourth Movement

On May 19, SNAI hosted the Communist Youth League's annual commendationmeeting to commemorate the 104th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. In themeeting, the activities of the SNAI Youth League Committee for the year2022-2023 were reported, and certificates were awarded to the units and personswho received honorable commendations from the youth league organizations.

Training workshop for senior accounting personnel of Aviation IndustryCorporation of China, Ltd., was held at SNAI

The Aviation Industry Corporation of China held atraining workshop for senior accounting personnel on May 30 at SNAI, with 115participants from the Corporation attending. Mr. Luo Jide, manager of thePlanning and Finance Department of Aviation Industry Corporation of China(AVIC), Du juan, deputy chief of the Planning and Finance Department of AVIC,and Lu Wenbin, president of SNAI, all attended the opening ceremony and gavespeeches.

Leading Accounting Talents Training Program of Guangxi Province was completedat SNAI

On May 27, SNAI hosted the closing ceremonyof the Leading Accounting Talents Training Program of Guangxi Province. TangJiming, deputy director general of Guangxi Financial Bureau, Zhang Gexing, vicepresident of SNAI, and Huang Gaoliu, director of Guangxi Financial Bureau'sDepartment of Accounting Management, delivered speeches at the closingceremony. During the program's three-year duration, the participants received avariety of honors and awards for their research and professional publications.

SNAI joined the Municipal City Walking Event

The Shanghai City Walking Event, jointly sponsored by the Municipal PartyCommittee of Municipal Organs, the Municipal Sports Bureau, the MunicipalFederation of Trade Unions, and the Changning District Government, was heldsuccessfully on May 13 at Hongqiao Sports Park in Changning District, with 91teams and approximately 2,100 participants participating in the 6-kilometer and10-kilometer walks. Twenty SNAI faculty and staff members, led by Zhang Feng,Party Secretary of SNAI, and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, participatedin the event and completed the walking successfully.

The delegation of China Academy of Fiscal Science visited SNAI

A delegation of eight members from China Academy of Financial Sciences, ledby Cheng Beiping, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Committee, visited SNAI inorder to undertake research on the construction of think tanks, talent teams,and discipline inspection oversight. Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary,moderated the research forum. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussionsregarding the establishment of think tanks, topical research, the integrationof discipline inspection and supervision with internal control, internalauditing, the introduction of talent, and performance evaluation, among othertopics.

The delegation of the Chinese University of HongKong, led by Prof. Zhou Lin, Dean of the School of Business, paid SNAI a visiton May 24. President of SNAI Lu Wenbin attended the seminar. In addition tovisiting the third phase of Campus Site and the SNAI teaching facilities, thetwo parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on the cultivation of top-tiertalent and investigated the possibility of cooperation in additional sectors.The seminar was attended by Prof. Ma Xufei, Associate Dean of the School ofBusiness, Prof. Yang Yong, Dean of the School of Accounting, and leaders ofrelevant departments from the School of Accounting at CUHK.

Wang Mingqiang,Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Data Exchange, Dr. Hu Feng, Senior PolicyResearch Manager and other members of the delegation came to SNAI on May 23 forresearch and exchange. Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, and the personnelfrom the relevant SNAI departments, took part in the seminar. The two sides hadin-depth exchanges on issues such as data elements, data assets, curriculumdevelopment, faculty training, on-site teaching. A preliminary cooperationintention was reached between the two sides.
