SNAI held a general meeting on June 13 to announceBao Xiaowen's appointment by the Ministry of Finance. Zhang Feng, Secretary ofthe SNAI Party Committee, presided over the meeting. At the meeting, BaoXiaowen issued a statement pledging her unshakable support for the partygroup's decision to uphold the MOF’s expectation and trust.
SNAI hosted a training workshopon budget management for over eighty senior officials from budgetary units ofSichuan and Tibet
SNAI was entrusted by the Sichuan SupervisoryBureau of the Ministry of Finance to coordinate the "2023 BudgetManagement Training Workshop for Budgetary Units in Sichuan and Tibet" onJune 6. Zhang Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee of SNAI, Wu Cuiyun, DeputyDirector of the Sichuan Supervision Bureau, and Xu Luling, Director of theSichuan Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, were among the attendeesat the inaugural ceremonies. Over eighty senior officials responsible for financialoperations from over forty budget divisions of the Central Government inSichuan and Tibet participated in the training.
The China National Chemical Engineering GroupCorporation's (CNCEC) leading accounting talent training program was started atSNAI
On June 5, SNAI hosted a training program for ChinaNational Chemical Engineering Group's top accounting talent. Zhang Xueming, thegroup's finance and capital department head, Bai Xiaohong, SNAI vice president,and Zhu Xiaoyun, ACCA's Central China regional director, all spoke at theopening event. This 75-day course is divided into two parts: the ACCAProfessional Qualification Course and the Financial ManagementInternationalization for Chinese Enterprises.
The Financial Management Training Course ofShandong Finance Group was launched at SNAI
The Shandong Finance Group Financial ManagementTraining Course commenced at SNAI on June 12th.Wang Zhifu, CFO of ShandongFinance Group, and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, both deliveredspeeches at the opening ceremony. A total of 48 individuals representing theorganization's financial system as well as associated departments and officesattended the five-day institute.
SNAI hosted the 3rd "Fun withChinese" Competition
SNAI hosted the third "Fun with Chinese"Competition, which was open to international students, on June 2nd. In additionto other department leaders, Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, was presentat the event and served as a judge for the competition. The competition wasattended by 45 international students who were divided into five teams througha random drawing. Each team competed in the competition, and ultimately, thegroup's first, second, and third places, in addition to individual honors likethe Best Language Award and Best Performance Award, were determined.
International Students attended financial lectures
Dr. Lee Jae Young, Head of Country Monitoring andChief Economist of the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), was invitedto give a presentation to international students on the topic of "RegionalFinancing Arrangements in East Asia" on June 7. The lecture focused on"Regional Financing Arrangements in East Asia," with the goal ofhelping international students understand the importance of regional financingarrangements, the operation mechanism, and the effectiveness of the Chiang MaiInitiative Multilateralization (CMIM) agreement, as well as broadening theirresearch horizons.
SNAI held a working conference on production safety
On 30th June, SNAI held a meeting on productionsafety, presided over by Lu Wenbin, SNAI president. The meeting emphasized theneed to further improve safety awareness, strengthen the responsibility ofproduction safety at all levels, strengthen emergency management.
International students visited the Ministryof Finance for field study
The international students of the 2020 Classtraveled to Beijing for a field study themed "China's Reform andDevelopment" from June 11 to June 15. International students werescheduled to visit the Ministry of Finance (MOF) on June 13 to learn more aboutChina's budget performance management, accounting talent cultivation, andoverseas financial cooperation and exchanges. The officials from thedepartments such as Department of International Economic Relations, Departmentof International Economic Relations, Performance, Budget Department, AccountingDepartment, National Economy and Economy Department, were invited to give thepresentation to the international students.
2023 Annual Budget Management Training Course forCentral Budgetary Units of Guangxi Province was held at SNAI
In order to further strengthen the budgetmanagement of the central budgetary units in Guangxi, the training course onBudget Management of the Central Budgetary Units in Guangxi, commissioned byGuangxi Regulatory Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, was launched at SNAI onJune 26. Wu Xiangyun, Director of Guangxi Regulatory Bureau of the Ministry ofFinance, and Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony,and a total of more than 180 financial officers from a number of centralbudgetary resident units in Guangxi Province in the systems of aviation,navigation, statistics, geology, and border control joined the training.
SNAI hosted the forum of China's Experience inDigital Transformation of Accounting
The SNAI hosted the forum on China'sExperience in Digital Transformation of Accounting on June 18, where the 10most influential information technologies in China's accounting industry wasreleased. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, was present at the forumand delivered the remarks. The selection process was described in detailby Professor Liu Qin, Director of the Selection Committee and President of theInstitute of Intelligent Finance. This included the design of the selection,the voting samples, and the analysis of the results. The forum officiallyunveiled the outcomes of the process for determining the ten most influentialinformation technologies that will impact the accounting industry in China in2023. Attendees were encouraged from diverse backgrounds to engage incomprehensive analysis of the potential impacts of the five selectedinformation technologies and to provide in-depth interpretations of theirpractical applications. Academic support for the forum was provided by theAccounting Informatization Professional Committee of the Chinese AccountingAssociation and the Institute of Intelligent Finance Research of SNAI. Mediaoutlets including China Accounting Horizons, China Accounting News, and Finance& Accounting also offered substantial support. The forum was attendedby more than 40,000 individuals via online and offline. SNAI has conductedthe Top 10 Information Technologies that Influence ChineseAccountants/Accounting Industry for seven consecutive years, beginning in 2017.By doing so, it encourages the integration of theory and practice and fosterstheoretical and applied research pertaining to accounting informatization.
SNAI president Lu Wenbin met and communicated withthe ASU delegation led by Dean Ohad Kadan of the Carey School of Business
On June 27, an ASU delegation led by Dean OhadKadan, former Dean Amy Hillman, Associate Dean Benjamin Shao, and Wang Hui,Director of Global Initiatives, paid a visit to SNAI. The conversation wasjoined by SNAI president Lu Wenbin, Vice President Zhang Gexing, and colleaguesfrom the SNAI-ASU EMBA program. Participants engaged in in-depth discussionsabout improving collaboration in joint programs and strengthening internationalexchange and cooperation.
SNAI organized the second batch of Chinese ModernizationLecture Series
On 27th June, SNAI held the second batch of ChineseModernization Lecture Series, inviting Jin Renqun, Vice President of ChinaExpress Co. to give a presentation on the review and prospects of China’sdelivery and logistics industry. BaiXiaohong, SNAI vice president, moderated the lecture, which was attended by WangLi and Yang Yunhua from UFIDA's transport and logistics industry. The lecture attractednearly 10,000 participants and alumni from both online and offline settings.
The delegation of Beijing National AccountingInstitute(BNAI)visited SNAI for research
On 20 June, the seven-person delegation of BeijingNational Accounting institute led by Zhang Fengling, Party Secretary and VicePresident of Beijing National Accounting Institute (BNAI), visited SNAI forresearch. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary of SNAI, moderated the discussion, andBao Xiaowen, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of SNAI, and othercolleagues involved participated in the discussion. The two sides conductedin-depth exchanges on the training of young professionals, the development andimplementation of internal control system, and the development of internalcontrol information system.
The delegation of Shaoxing Hangzhou Bay AccountingAcademy visited SNAI
A six-member delegation from Shaoxing Hangzhou BayAccounting Academy visited SNAI on 15 June for research purposes, including thedevelopment of high-quality development and the cultivation of high-endfinancial and economic talents, among other topics. The delegation was led byZhang Guochun, special consultant of Shaoxing Hangzhou Bay Accounting Academyand former director general of the Asset Management Department of the Ministryof Finance, Tu Yu, general manager and director of the Academy, and other ZhangGuochun-led delegation members. Vice president of the SNAI Zhang Gexingpresided over the dialogue between the two parties. The pertinent personnelfrom the training divisions of SNAI participated in the meeting.
