The Financial Times (FT) published a list of the top 100 EMBA programsworldwide on October 16th. The "SNAI-ASU EMBA" program in finance, acollaboration between SNAI and the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (ASU), achieved the twelfth position on the global ranking.This represents an eight-place improvement from the 2022 ranking. For the pastfive consecutive years, the SNAI-ASU EMBA has been ranked among the top 20programs worldwide. The program remained at the top of the classification forChinese language programs managed by Chinese-foreign cooperation in China thisyear, while also being ranked first in Asia in its pursuit of breakthroughs inESG social responsibility implementation and carbon emission reduction.
Opening Ceremony of 2023 Master of Professional Accounting Program for Developing Countries was held
The opening ceremony of 2023 Master of Professional Accounting Program forDeveloping Countries College was held at SNAI on October 16. Along with 20newly enrolled international students and 45 senior students from 12 developingcountries—including Botswana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Eritrea—Zhou Qiangwu,Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of NDB, Liu Beimin, Director ofthe Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Zhang Feng, Party Secretary ofSNAI, Professor Lu Wenbin, President of SNAI, Zhang Gexing, Vice President ofSNAI, and faculty representatives attended the opening ceremony.
The "Budget Performance Management: China's Experience" was held in Phnom Penh
The "Budget Performance Management: China's Experience" trainingcourse, co-organized by SNAI and the Economic and Financial Institute(EFI) of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Cambodia, was conducted inPhnom Penh, Cambodia, from October 23rd to October 25th. The training wasattended by over thirty officials from the Ministry of Finance and Economy andother central ministries. Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary, and Dr. Hean Sahib,Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Cambodia, bothattended and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Amidst the three-daytraining, SNAI faculty delivered lectures on a multitude of subjects. Theseincluded an overview of China's budget performance management and the emphasison reform promotion, technical prerequisites and indicator development forperformance evaluation, as well as concerns and issues of concern that werediscussed and exchanged among the Cambodian participants. SNAI representatives,led by Zhang Feng, visited the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Cambodia andEFI, respectively, and met with Vice Minister Hean Sahib and President In Em,among others, throughout the training course. The parties engaged in a dialogueregarding the expansion of their collaboration in the domains of talentdevelopment and financial and economic capacity building. An initial agreementwas reached regarding the precise nature and scope of the collaboration.Additionally, Secretary Zhang Feng engaged in cordial dialogue with Cambodianalumni regarding their professional and personal growth subsequent to theirgraduation.

The "First Lesson" for 2023 EMPAcc, EMBA, and MIMparticipants was conducted on October 20. Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary,delivered the introductory lecture, which served as a crucial component of theprograms' orientation module. Zhang Feng commended the participants' courage inpursuing higher education and urged all to remain committed to the acquisitionof knowledge and the ongoing development of their own capabilities.
SNAI hosted the Yangtze River Delta Accounting Cooperation and Industry Development Forum
The Yangtze River DeltaAccounting Cooperation and Industry Development Forum was conducted inHefei, Anhui Province, on October 21. The event was co-organized by SNAI andthe Anhui Provincial Finance Bureau. Attending the forum and delivering speeches,respectively, were Liu Guangzhong, director general of the AccountingDepartment of the Ministry of Finance, Gu Jianfeng, director of the AnhuiProvincial Finance Bureau, and Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary.
The 3rd Yangtze River Delta Financial Technology International Forum was hosted by SNAI
The Third Yangtze River Delta Financial Technology InternationalForum was conducted in Hefei, Anhui Province, on October 24. It wasco-hosted by SNAI and iFLYTEK Corporation. Exploring the new opportunitiespresented by large models and other financial technology innovations, the forumemphasized the advancement of the deep integration of finance and technology,the empowerment of financial innovation through AI, and other fundamentalconcerns. It also sought to promote the high-quality development of the financialindustry. Lu Wenbin, president of SNAI, Wu Xiaoru, president of iFLYTEK, andShen Haibo, vice president of iFLYTEK, all delivered speeches at the forum.
SNAI organized the 4th session lecture on Chinese Modernization
On 27th October, SNAI held the fourth session lecture on ChineseModernization. Professor Ye Chunhe, SNAI part-time professor, was invited toshare his views on the "Evolution and Development of China's FuturesMarket" to shed light on the importance of risk management of futuresmarket. Bai Xiaohong, SNAI vice president, moderated the lecture. UFIDAprovided strong support for the organization of this lecture. This speciallecture attracted nearly 5,000 participants from online and offline studentsand alumni.
The inaugural joint training for leading accounting talents in Yangtze River officially launched
SNAI, in collaborationwith the Anhui Provincial Finance Bureau, the Shanghai Municipal FinanceBureau, the Jiangsu Provincial Finance Bureau, the Zhejiang Provincial FinanceBureau, and the Nanjing Municipal Finance Bureau, held the first joint trainingfor leading accounting talents in the Yangtze River region in Hefei City, AnhuiProvince, from October 19 to 21. The opening ceremony was conducted on October19. The SNAI vice president and the appropriate leaders from the organizersattended the opening events and made respective statements. This collaborativeprogram, which included one-day lectures, one-day on-site field study, andone-day forum, was attended by almost 350 top accounting professionals fromthree provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta.
The delegation of Institute of Public Accountants of Australia (IPA) visited SNAI
The IPA delegation, ledby Julie Williams, president of the IPA board, Andrew Conway, chief executiveofficer of IPA, and Chen Rong, the director of China affairs, paid SNAI a visiton October 20. The delegation met withSNAI President Lu Wenbin. Each party gave a brief overview of their recentachievements and talked about talent development and the establishment of thinktanks. The two parties concentrated on issues such international studenttraining and continuing education, degree programs offered by SNAI and foreignuniversities, etc.
SNAI's on-site teaching base was unveiled at Lianren Digital Health
On October 7, SNAI’s on-site teaching base was officially unveiled atLianren Digital Health. Lu Wenbin, SNAI President,Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, Dai Zhong, Chairman of the Board ofDirectors of Lianren Digital Health, and Gao Jing, General Manager (CEO) ofLianren Digital Health, and other leaders attended the opening ceremony. Thetwo sides also discussed the on-site teaching base's follow-up activities andfuture collaboration directions.
Strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the Shanghai Data Exchange and Shanghai Digital Business Association and SNAI
On October 7, SNAI entered into a strategic collaboration agreement withShanghai Data Exchange and Shanghai Digital Business Association. Witnessed bySNAI President Lu Wenbin and Tang Qifeng, General Manager of Shanghai DataExchange, Zhang Gexing, SNAI Vice President, signed a cooperation agreementwith Wei Zhilin, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Data Exchange, and Lu Yong,Secretary General of the Shanghai Association of Digital Commerce. According to the cooperation agreement, thethree parties will continue to provide workshops on data assets reflected inthe balance sheet as well as other related issues in order to develop dataasset professionals.
Vice President of NDB gave a lecture for SNAI international students
On October 16, Zhou Qiangwu, Vice President and Chief AdministrativeOfficer of NDB, delivered a presentation to international students thatprovided a methodical overview of the NDB's mission and development history.This lecture is not only the second in the "VISION" series, but italso serves as a significant component of the opening ceremony of 2023 Master of Accounting Program for DevelopingCountries. The lecture was attended by 65 international students from 24countries along the "Belt and Road" as well as several SNAI teachersand staff members.
SNAI international students attended special topic lectures
On October 17, with the support of the New Development Bank'sIndependent Evaluation Office (NDB), SNAI invited Mr. Hansdeep Khaira, SeniorEvaluation Officer of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), and Mr.Anoop Sharma, FAO and UNEP Specialist, to give a special lecture to itsinternational students. The topics of the lectures were "Innovativeapproaches in evaluation: use of geospatial data" as well as"Self-assessments and adaptive management: paving the way for effectiveproject delivery" . The lectures,which began with an introduction to the fundamental ideas of performanceevaluation, helped the internationalstudents to understand the evolution and most recent developments inperformance evaluation in multinational organizations.
SNAI International Students participated in IMF Macroeconomic Diagnosis Training
ThreeSNAI international students from Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Uganda attended theInternational Monetary Fund (IMF)-organized "Macroeconomic Diagnosis"training in Shenzhen from September 18 to September 28. The training'sobjective was to improve the trainees' capacity to apply macroeconomic analysistools and policy making in the field of macroeconomics through case studies.The three international students recently received their certificate ofcompletion for successfully completing the program and wrote a letter ofgratitude to SNAI for the support provided.
