SNAI organized the Celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of CCP.

 

SNAI party committee held a meeting to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of CCP. All SNAI faculty and students attended the meeting. The conference honored the groups and individuals who won the 2023-2024 Advanced Party Branch, Outstanding CCP Members and Outstanding Party Workers. SNAI vice president Bao Xiaowen led the review of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech delivered on July 9 and gave a special lecture on discipline.

 

2024 World AI Conference was held in Shanghai.

 

From July 4 to 6, the 2024 World AI Conference was held in Shanghai, with the theme of “Promoting Sharing through Consultation, Promoting Good Intelligence through Good Governance” . Its sub-forum on “Intelligent Finance” of the 2024 World AI Conference was held at the Shanghai World Expo Center. The forum was co-sponsored by Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and China PnR,with CITIC Bank Shanghai Branch and Kingdee as partners, China Financial Information Center of Xinhua News Agency as a special support unit, and the Intelligent Finance Research Institute of SNAI as an academic support unit, and with the theme of “New Economy, New Quality, Intelligent Finance”. The forum invited government officials, experts and scholars from China and abroad to participate in and talk about the development of intelligent finance in the context of technological innovation and digitalization, to exchange the industry's cutting-edge viewpoints and the latest practical achievements, and to explore the new future of the integration of artificial intelligencetechnology and financial development.

 

IASB's New Standards Presentation Meeting was held at SNAI.

 

A briefing session on the new IASBstandards was recently held at SNAI, co-organized by China's AccountingStandards Committee (ASC) and the International Accounting Standards Board(IASB), with IASB members Nick Anderson, Lu Jianqiao, and Anna Hasegawa, aswell as the project team, attending and presenting to attendees. SNAI PresidentLu Wenbin and Zhang Juan, Deputy Director of the IASB, both spoke at theseminar, as did representatives from the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the ShenzhenStock Exchange, the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, and theShanghai Municipal Bureau of Finance.

 

SNAI organized the 5th session of Chinese Modernization Series.  

 

SNAI recently presented the sixth session of the Chinese Modernization Series for the international students.Ms. Chen Jing, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and president of the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, was invited to give a lecture on "Shanghai Practice of Chinese-style Modernization". SNAI President Lu Wenbin and Vice President Bao Xiaowen attended the occasion. Approximately 160 people attended the event, including SNAI foreign students from 24 countries.

 

ASU delegation, led by Ohad Kadan of the Carey Business School of Arizona State University, visited EMBA alumni'sfirm.

 

The ASU delegation, led by OhadKadan, Dean of Arizona State University's Carey Business School, recently visited SNAI and met SNAI President Lu Wenbin to discuss the enrollment situation for the EMBA and MIM programs, as well as alumni affairs for the year. Following that, Dean Ohad and his crew visited the business of EMBA program graduates.

 

The 2024 SNAI Summer Camp for faculty children was held.

 

The inaugural ceremony of SNAI Summer Camp was recently held, attended by around 30 SNAI staff members and their children. Ms. Bai Xiaohong, SNAI vice president, attended the occasion and gave remarks. The summer children's camp, one of the SNAI labor union's primary projects, ran from July 1 to August 31.

 

SNAI organized the inaugural meeting and first plenary session of the Strategic Advisory Committee.

On July 21st, the Shanghai National Accounting Institute's Strategic Advisory Committee had its inaugural meeting and first plenary session. Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of Finance, gave a written speech to the General Assembly. The Strategic Advisory Committee's debut meeting was presided over by SNAI  Party Secreatry Zhang Feng. The General Assembly evaluated and approved the Shanghai National Accounting Institute's Strategic Advisory Committee Statute, as well as elected the chairman. At the Strategic Advisory Committee's inaugural plenary meeting, SNAI president Lu Wenbin presented on the organization's development successes and plans. Following that, the members focused on the Academy's high-quality development goals for the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and made suggestions and recommendations on the innovation of high-end financial talent training to serve the national strategy, the change of financial and accounting talent training under the trend of digitization and intelligence, and the direction and focus of the construction of financial think tanks. The meeting was attended by Gao Daping, Deputy Director of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance, members of the first Strategic Advisory Committee, and members of the Institute's senior management, as well as the heads of eachdepartment.

SNAI Party Secretary Zhang Feng gave a special lecture.

On July 24th, SNAI Party Secretary, Zhang Feng, delivered a special party lecture to all party members. The lecture focused on conveying the spirit of the Twentieth CPC Central Committee's Third Plenary Session, analyzing SNAI's current situation, challenges, and the way to address different issues, and emphasizing the significance of the high-quality development of SNA and key tasks.

 

SNAI organized the Graduation Ceremony of the 2024 Master of Professional Accounting Program for Developing Countries.

 

The class of 2024 of Master of Professional Accounting Program for Developing Countries recently concluded with agraduation ceremony at SNAI. The ceremony was attended by 45 graduating foreignstudents from 19 countries, including Ethiopia, Botswana, Sierra Leone,Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Venezuela, as well as their families and friends,and 18 international students from the class of 2023. The ceremony was attendedby Xu Kai, Vice President of the Academy for International Business Officials of Ministry of Commerce , Luo Zhisong, Chief Economist of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, SNAI president Lu Wenbin, SNAI vice president Zhang Guoxing, and the heads of relevant SNAI departments, as well as facultyrepresentatives.

 

SNAI organized 2024 Summer Camp for College Students nationwide.

SNAI recently conducted the 2024 Summer Camp for college students around the country, which attracted almost 400 excellent students from several of China's top universities.  After selection, 57 outstanding students attended the camp. Who took part in various summer camp events.

 

SNAI and the Independent Evaluation Office of the New Development Bank(NDB) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation

 

Recently, the Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and the New Development Bank's Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. SNAI President Lu Wenbin and Ashwani Muthoo, Director of NDB'sIndependent Evaluation Office, signed the MOU on behalf of both parties. Zhang Bo, Deputy Director of the Department of International Financial Cooperation atthe Ministry of Finance, spoke at the signing ceremony via video link.

 

China-Cambodia Training Workshop on"Performance Budgeting Management: China's Experience" was held at SNAI.

 

The China-Cambodia trainingworkshop on "performance budgeting Management: China's Experience"was jointly organized by the Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) andthe Economy and Finance Institute (EFI) of Cambodia's Ministry of Finance and Economy from July 15 to 19, with the goal of enhancing the capacity o fCambodian female high-ranking officials in the field of public finance.

The training was attended by nearly30 female trainees, including secretaries of state and officials from central ministry departments and bureaus such as the Ministries of Finance, Justice, Women's Affairs, Land and Planning, Energy, and Health. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State for Cambodia's Ministry of Finance and Economy, and SNAI President Lu Wenbin attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.

 

SNAI and Yongan Futures Co. entered into a strategic collaboration agreement.

 

On July 17, SNAI inked a strategic collaboration agreement with Yongan Futures Co, which was witnessed by SNAI Party Secretary Zhang Feng and Huang Zhiming, Yongan Futures’ General Manager. The strategic partnership agreement was signed on behalf of the two partners by SNAI vice president Zhang Gexing and Yongan Futures' Deputy General Manager andFinancial Controller, Huang Zhengrong. The strategic partnership agreementstates that the two parties will work together in the future on academic cooperation, think tank research, talent training, and brand promotion.SNAI vice president Bai Xiaohong, as well as representatives from the twocooperating parties, attended the ceremony.

 

SNAI delegation visited a number oforganizations for communication and exchanges

SNAI vice president Zhang Gexing recently led a delegation to visit a number of organizations, including China Railway Corporation, the Asian Development Bank's Resident Mission in China,the National Health Commission's Department of Finance, the National Health Commission's Statistical Information Center, China National Pharmaceutical Group, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Talent Exchange Center, and the State Financing Guarantee Fund Co.

 Recently, a SNAI delegation led by SNAI vice president Bai Xiaohong paid visits to the Shanghai Municipal Institute of Development and Reform, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences,and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Development Research Center to discuss think tank project cooperation and other issues. Bai Xiaohong also leda group to Deloitte & Touche to discuss the process of"customized" collaborative training for graduate students. SNAI President Lu Wenbin, Vice President Bao Xiaowen, and Liu Qin, President of the Institute of Intelligent Financial Research, visited China PnR for dialogue andexchange.
