The Financial Times of the UK released the global top 100 EMBA rankings on October 14, 2024. The EMBA program (finance track), a collaboration between SNAI and the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (USA), ranked 7th globally (3rd in China) in this list. This marks a rise of 5 places from last year, re-entering the global top 10 and remaining in the global top 20 for six consecutive years. Meanwhile, SNAI's EMBA program claimed the top spot globally among Chinese-taught EMBA programs in this ranking, achieving a historic breakthrough.
The 3rd Yangtze River Delta Leading Accounting Joint Training Held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province
From October 22 to 24, SNAI, together with the Department of Finance of Jiangsu Province, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Finance, Department of Finance of Zhejiang Province, and Department of Finance of Anhui Province, hosted the 3rd Yangtze River Delta Leading Accounting Joint Training in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Nearly 420 leading accounting talents from the three provinces and one municipality in the Yangtze River Delta participated in this joint training. Present at the opening ceremony were Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, Zhang Jiangyi, Second-level Inspector of the Department of Finance of Jiangsu Province,Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI; Wu Lin, Director of the Department of Finance of Jiangsu Province, Chen Zhiyuan, Director of the Department of Finance of Zhejiang Province, Zhu Gang, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Finance and Zhang Hui, third-level Researcher of the Department of Finance of Anhui Province. During the period, the 3rd Industry Development Forum, hosted by SNAI, was held. The forum focused on the theme of "Industrial Digital and Green Transformation: International Trends and Yangtze River Delta Practices", with a key emphasis on sharing international trends in industrial digital and green transformation among major global economies and relevant practices in the Yangtze River Delta region.
SNAI Holds Opening Ceremony for 2024 International Students On October 16.
The opening ceremony of SNAI's 2024 "Master of Professional Accounting Program for Developing Countries" was held at SNAI. Present at the ceremony were Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary, Lu Wenbin, SNAI President; Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, Hua Jingdong, Vice Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), faculty representatives of SNAI; 33 new international students from 13 developing countries including Botswana, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Eritrea, Iraq, Cambodia, and Myanmar as well as 2023 internationals students at SNAI. Xu Kai, Vice President of the Academy of. International Business Officials of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered a video speech at the ceremony.
2024 Graduation and Opening Ceremony for SNAI-ASU Joint Master's Degree Program Held at SNAI
On October 19, the graduation and opening ceremony for the 2024 joint master's degree program between Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and Arizona State University (ASU) was held at SNAI. Attending the ceremony were Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary, Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, Benjamin Shao, Associate Dean at ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business,Thomas Choi, Distinguished Professor of W. P. Carey School of Business as well as over 300 newly enrolled students, graduates and their family members.
SNAI's Integrity Education Program selected as Key Projects of Regional Party Building in Qingpu District, Shanghai
On October 11, the Promotion Meeting of Regional Party Building Work in Qingpu District was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Xu Shujie, Member of the Standing Committee of the Organization Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and Liu Qi, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Qingpu District Committee, announced the key projects of regional party building in Qingpu District, Shanghai. SNAI's integrity education program was selected into the key programs.
SNAI Signs Memorandum of Cooperation on "MPAcc Program - ACCA Courses (International Student Program)" with ACCA
On October 14, SNAI and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) signed a memorandum of cooperation to carry out collaboration on the conditional exemption treatment of ACCA for SNAI's international MPAcc program students. According to the memorandum, starting from next year, the curriculum for international MPAcc program will incorporate two ACCA courses, namely "Financial Reporting" and "Ethics and Professional Skills Module". Therefore, SNAI international MPAcc students will be entitled to exemptions from 5 courses during their studies, including Business and Technology, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Corporate and Business Law, and Taxation. Those who pass the ACCA subject exams during their studies will have the opportunity to obtain ACCA's interim certificates.
ADB Advanced Seminar on Project Implementation and Management Held at SNAI
From October 23 to 25, the ADB advanced seminar on project implementation and management (PIMES) was held at SNAI. A total of 48 participants from the project offices, executing agencies, and implementing agencies of 9 ADB-funded projects in China attended the training. Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, and Zhou Aiming, Deputy Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Resident Mission in China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. During the training, ADB experts provided systematic introductions and experience sharing on topics such as the establishment and responsibilities of management agencies for ADB loan projects in China, project procurement and contract management, financial management and auditing. They also conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with participants on the difficult issues encountered in project management and implementation at the current stage.
Special Training Course for Fujian Provincial-Administered Officials Opens at SNAI On October 14
The special training course for Fujian provincial-administered officials themed "Exerting the Effectiveness of Fiscal and Financial Policies and Enhancing the Ability to Prevent and Resolve Risks" was launched at SNAI. The course was co-sponsored by the Organization Department of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, the Party School of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, Fujian School of Administration, and the Department of Finance of Fujian Province, and was undertaken by SNAI. A total of 50 participants attended the training, including leading cadres of Party and government in prefecture-level cities and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Fujian Province, department-level leading cadres of relevant provincial units, leading personnel of provincial-administered enterprises, department-level officials of relevant central agencies stationed in Fujian. Li Haixing, Vice President of the Party School of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Vice President of Fujian School of Administration and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony.
The 1st Batch of Tax Expert Talent Training Course in 2024 for China National Nuclear Cooperation Opens at SNAI
On October 14, 2024, the 1st batch of tax expert talent training course of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) was launched at SNAI. This program marks the first time that SNAI has undertaken a systematic training project for tax-related talents working at the headquarter of a central enterprise. A total of 50 tax experts and talents carefully selected by CNNC participated in this training. Du Chunqin, Deputy Director of the Finance Department of CNNC and Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
2024 Special Training Course for Service Posts in Member Institutions of China Financial Futures Exchange(CFFEX) Opens at SNAI
On October 22, the 2024 Special Training Course for Service Posts in Member Institutions of China Financial Futures Exchange(CFFEX) opened at SNAI. A total of 123 participants from over 110 institutions attended the training. Cai Xianghui, Deputy General Manager of CFFEX, and Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
The 1st cohort of Advanced Workshop on New Productive Forces for Wenzhou Private Entrepreneurs Opens in Wenzhou, Zhejiang
On October 25, the 1st cohort of Advanced Workshop on New Productive Forces for Wenzhou Private Entrepreneurs was launched at the Wenzhou Institute of Socialism. Over 100 entrepreneurs and senior executives from enterprises including Baoxiniao, Ruili Group, Changtai Electric, Ruifeng Holdings, and Jingli Holdings signed up for the program and attended the opening ceremony. Present at the opening ceremony were Zhang Yueying, Vice Mayor of Wenzhou Municipal People's Government and President of Wenzhou Institute of Socialism, Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, Ye Jun, Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of Wenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Vice President of Wenzhou Institute of Socialism, Wu Zhi'an, Executive Vice President of Wenzhou Institute of Socialism, Lian Laijing, Deputy Director of Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Finance, Wu Songquan, Deputy Director of Wenzhou State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and Lu Qianfan, Vice Chairman of Wenzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce. SNAI Hosts a Seminar on Chinese Private Enterprises' Going Global"
A seminar on private enterprises going global was conducted by SNAI on October 22, which attracted more than 100 participants. The event, which was attended by practical professionals with extensive experience in this area, was designed to serve as a communication platform for private firms seeking to expand into international markets. This was accomplished by sharing successful case studies, evaluating market trends, and engaging in strategic planning.
