SNAI Holds Talks and Signing Ceremony with Tongling Municipal Government

On November 7th, Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and the Tongling Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, marking the entry of their cooperation into a new phase. This signing covers multiple areas such as smart healthcare, the transformation of state-owned enterprises, and the cultivation of accounting and finance talents. Zhang Feng, SNAI Party Secretary, Yu Yancheng, founding director of the SNAI Education Development Foundation and General Manager of Shanghai Zhongyi Technology Investment Group Co., Ltd., Zhang Liqun, researcher of the Macroeconomic Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council as well as senior officials from Tongling Municipal Government , attended the meeting and witnessed the signing.

Delegation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Visits SNAI

On November 6th, a six-member delegation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) paid a visit to SNAI. The delegation was led by Mark Billington, ICAEW’s Executive Director of International Markets, Iain Wright, Executive Director of Professional Reputation & Influence and Yu Jingjing, Head of ICAEW China. Lu Wenbin, SNAI President and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, held talks with the visiting guests. Both parties briefly reviewed their cooperation achievements, discussed the impacts of artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable development and other areas on the accounting industry and accounting talent cultivation, and conducted in-depth exchanges on further cooperation fields, reaching initial consensus. On behalf of both parties, SNAI President Lu Wenbin and Director Mark Billington signed a cooperation memorandum. This signing is based on SNAI’s development needs and the recent cooperation discussions between the two sides. In the future, the two parties will carry out cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, think tank research, and academic exchanges.

SNAI Exhibition Hall of Integrity Culture Joins the Integrity Culture Education Alliance of Universities in Shanghai

On November 1st, the general conference of Integrity Culture Education Alliance of Universities in Shanghai was held at Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance. At the conference, an alliance membership licensing ceremony was held. SNAI Exhibition Hall of Integrity Culture officially joined the Alliance. In the wake of the conference , the forum on the integration of integrity education in primary, secondary and tertiary schools, was held, conducting exchanges on how to build an integrity education community. It is committed to innovating education models, deepening integrity practice, expanding education fields, strengthening multi-party cooperation and resource integration, and jointly building a highland for integrity culture education.

SNAI's "Red Seed" Youth Volunteer Service Team Supports the CIIE 

From November 5th to November 10th, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. SNAI's "Red Seed" Youth Volunteer Service Team actively supported the CIIE event. A total of 42 volunteers from 2 groups carried out volunteer services in the core area of the CIIE, providing a total of approximately 920 person-times of transportation guidance, about 600 information inquiries, around 503 person-times of on-site order maintenance and roughly 79 person-times of language translation, among other service support.

The 1^st Cohort of 2024 Financial Personnel Competence Improvement Training Course for the Trade Union of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Limited (CRRC) Opens at SNAI

Recently, the 1^st Cohort of 2024 Financial Personnel Competence Improvement Training Course for CRRC Trade Union kicked off at SNAI. Eighty full-time trade union financial personnel from CRRC Trade Union and its subordinate units participated in this training. Gong Yongxiang, Director of the Finance Department of the All-China Railway Federation of Trade Unions, Zhao Hu, Chairman of CRRC Group Trade Union and Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

2024 Special Training Course on Corporate Governance and Risk Management for Local Small and Medium-sized Banks of Heilongjiang Financial Holding Group Opens at SNAI

On November 8th, the 2024 Special Training Course on Corporate Governance and Risk Management for Local Small and Medium-sized Banks of Heilongjiang Financial Holding Group opened at SNAI. Participants of this training included equity directors assigned by Heilongjiang Financial Holding Group to local small and medium-sized financial institutions in the province, relevant staff from the group's headquarters departments, affiliated companies and local small and medium-sized financial institutions in the province, as well as relevant leaders from the Personnel and Education Department of Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Finance, Heilongjiang Rural Credit Union and representatives of institutions in the province. The 18th World Wenzhou Entrepreneurs Economic Theory Training Course Opens at SNAI

On November 3rd, the 18th World Wenzhou Entrepreneurs Economic Theory Training Course was held at SNAI. More than 30 overseas Wenzhou leaders and entrepreneurs from around the world participated in this training. Wang Chi, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee, Director of the United Front Work Department, and Executive Vice President of the World Federation of Wenzhou Natives, Wu Zhi'an, Executive Vice President of the Party School of the CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice President of Wenzhou Institute of Socialism; and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony. SNAI Hosts the 6th Alumni Day Event

On November 23rd, SNAI’s 6th Alumni Day Event was held on campus. This year's Alumni Day included a variety of sessions such as keynote forums, professional forums, creative markets, parent-child activities, Gobi Challenge reunion, lawn concerts, and integrity culture exhibitions. The event attracted over 1,000 alumni and their family members, setting a new record in terms of participation.

The Training Program on "Financial and Economic Officials' Leadership: China's Experience" Held in Siem Reap, Cambodia

Recently, the training Program on "Financial and Economic Officials' Leadership: China's Experience", co-hosted by Shanghai National Accounting Institute (Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute, AFDI) and the Economic and Financial Institute (EFI) of Cambodia's Ministry of Economy and Finance—was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Thirty senior officials from more than ten Cambodian ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Civil Service, and the Ministry of Interior, participated in the training. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of Cambodia's Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Bao Xiaowen, Vice President of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. During the training program, Ms.Bao and SNAI delegation held bilateral talks with Cambodia's Ministry of Economy and Finance and EFI respectively. Both parties discussed further strengthening capacity-building cooperation in areas such as fiscal and tax system reform, inclusive development, green finance, and digital transformation, and reached initial consensus on the specific content and forms of cooperation. In addition, Ms. Bao also met with Cambodian alumni pf SNAI who had studied in China.

2024 Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation Training (SHIPDET) Held at SNAI

From November 18th to November 22nd, the 2024 SHIPDET, co-hosted by Shanghai National Accounting Institute (Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute, AFDI) and the Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), was held at SNAI. More than 20 representatives from seven economies, including Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, Fiji, Tajikistan, the Philippines, and China, participated in the training. Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, along with Sona Shrestha, Deputy Director General of ADB's Independent Evaluation Department, and Eduardo Abello, Senior Advisor of IED, attended the opening ceremony.

On November 18th, a six-member delegation from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA & CIMA) paid a visit to SNAI. The delegation included Barry C. Melancon, Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AICPA & CIMA, Andrew Harding, Global CEO of the Management Accounting Segment, Irene Teng, Global Managing Director of Marketing and Li Ying, President of North Asia. Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, held talks with the visiting guests. On November 27th, the unveiling ceremony of Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI)'s On-Site Teaching Base for the Yangtze River Delta G60 Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor was held at the G60 Innovation Research Center. Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, Jia Zhanfeng, Deputy Director of the G60 Joint Office, Man Yuanyuan, Head of the Innovation Cooperation Group of the G60 Joint Office and heads of relevant departments from both sides attended the unveiling ceremony. The 1^st Cohort of TOT training for the Public Hospital Economic Management Training Base held at SNAI

Recently, the 1^st cohort of TOT training for the Public Hospital Economic Management Training Base was held at SNAI. A total of 120 people participated in the training, including the responsible personnel of the financial departments of the health commissions of Zhejiang, Henan, Guangxi, and Shaanxi provinces (autonomous regions), the in-charge leaders of 10 pilot bases in the region, the heads of economic management-related departments, business backbones, and experts. Wei Sihuang, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Project Fund Supervision Service Center of the National Health Commission and Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

On November 27th, a seven-member delegation from CPA Australia paid a visit to SNAI. The delegation included Chris Freeland, Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CPA Australia; Rebecca Keppel-Jones, Director of Member Operations and Zhu Haiying, Director of Greater China. Lu Wenbin, SNAI President, held talks with the visiting guests. SNAI International Students Win Second Prize in the 2024 Peak Time International Competition & the 2nd International Business Decision Simulation Competition for International Students in China (Final)

Recently, the "2024 Peak Time International Competition & the 2nd International Business Decision Simulation Competition for International Students in China (Final)", hosted by the Shanghai Education International Exchange Association and organized by the School of International Cultural Exchange of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and the Organizing Committee of the "Peak Time", was held at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The competition attracted 117 teams from 32 universities across China, covering 67 countries. The team formed by SNAI's international students advanced to the final and won the second prize of the competition, while Professor Cao Shengrong of SNAI, the team's supervisor, was awarded the title of "Excellent Supervisor".

SNAI Conducts Research and Discusses Cooperation with Multiple Institutions 

Recently, Zhang Gexing, Vice President of SNAI, led a delegation to conduct visits and research at the National Financing Guarantee Fund, China Financing Guarantee Association, and Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau, focusing on areas such as talent cultivation. He also led a delegation to Shanghai Business School and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law for research, where discussions and exchanges were held regarding international training, international student cultivation, and other related topics. Relevant staff from SNAI participated in the activities.
